I am looking to quit and have been using the baccoff product. I find baccoff to be too similar to fine cut and the more I get into the process (i.e. 50-50 mix of real and baccoff), the more the consistency becomes like sand. Is there a fake dip product out there that has a consistency more like that of a grizzly long cut?

Thank you.
Reviews of fake (nicotine free) chews are here: http://www.killthecan.org/your-quit/reviews/

A friendly suggestion, stop looking to quit and quit cold turkey. If you flush your remaining tobacco, post roll (your promise to yourself and all here that you will not use nicotine today) with the January 2016 quit group, and reach out to the bad ass quitters in that group you will be past the worst by next weekend.

Life gets so much better quit, why wait?
NoMore is righht gmish. That is THE ONLY WAY to do it. Get yourself through the tough first few days with help from all the vets on this site and the JANUARY 2016 quit group (100 days from your quit date), is shaping up to be an awesome bunch of quitters.

You can do it, with help from vets like NoMore, and newbies alike. Make the daily promise not to use nicotine in any form each day and the support will come out of the woodwork, trust me.

There isnt anything you may go through or experience while going through the quit that someone here hasnt already and can help you through.

Do it, quit now!! Flush that shit. Im a 30+ year dipper. On day 56. And it it wonderful. ANy other quit i ever had cant hold a candle to this one. The accountability, brotherhood and support is overwhelming.

Join us and set yourself free from the slave owner that is Nicotine.

Dipping for almost three years on the dot...it recently got to the point where my gums would hurt by my "after lunch dip." It wasn't even fun anymore, and I when I was forced to go without dip for a full-day (such as work, etc), I would feel so damn good...but still decide to toss one in as soon as I got to my car.

Today is my first day without nicotine...(can anybody tell me how to change my quit date? I signed up, set my quit date, and relapsed like a fool. I would like to be honest and change it now that I'm actually serious about quitting).

Otherwise, I hope that we can all do this together. Life without dip seems like a fantasy world, but I want it to be a reality.
Welcome.

35 year nicotine addict here and I know exactly what you mean. I'd get sick of dipping and then start smoking. Then I would get sick of smoking and go back to dip.

You have made your promise for the day. Drink lots of water and do anything you can to stay away from nicotine today. Use non-nicotine gum, seeds, fake chew, cotton balls, whatever you need to do. I find that reading posts on this website is a great way to spend the time not dipping. You will find so many folks here are just like you and we are winning every day.

Tomorrow when you wake up come back to this site and post your promise in January roll again and repeat. It really is that simple.

To update your Quit Date, go to the top right side of the forum, mouse over "Preferences" and click "Update Profile". The quit date is at the bottom of that page.

Looks like you have your date set at today, which sounds correct.

Not fun anymore, sore gums... that brings back memories that I choose not to repeat. Of course I have 35 years of those memories, not 3.

Quitting is hard, but simple. Every damn day, wake up piss post. Posting roll is your promise to yourself and all here that you will not use nicotine that day. Simple promise, one day at a time, so we can handle it. Since we are all addicts, and nicotine will be whispering in your ear as soon as you get in your car after work, exchange digits with fellow quitters (via PM) so a text can get fast support.

You fit in the "Dog Pound" of the January 2016 quit group -- you will get to 100 days quit with them in January.

I quit with you today.

20 years old and have been dipping for 6 years now. It's amazing what a 14 year old thinks is cool. I'm on day three and I feel like crap. I can't sleep and I can't focus. Someone just tell me this gets easier because I'm about to lose it.
It gets easier. You don't need me to tell you that though right? You know it gets easier, you're just afraid of how long it might take or the lengths you may have to go to stay quit. Right? We've all been there. I know you and you know me because we're both addicts. Post roll with us. Embrace the journey and I guarantee you will wish you'd done this years ago.
^^^^^^^ Yeah, what King said. Exactly!!

Hi,

The best way to think of the days when you were not addicted to this nicotine. Just pretend that you have never started it, believe me the problem, craving will disappear immediately.

If you are fine without nicotine for 8 hours then you can be away from it rest of your life. Its your mind which plays games with you. So be strong and be tobacco free.

Life will be beautiful without it. Just keep repeating i can do it and i will do it. I will control my life not tobacco.

Well said, I am on day 45 and still feel like I am going nuts. if I didn't have Valium's, I would go crazy. It's like you said, IT IS VILE!!!!
Is there any concern about you simply replacing your addiction from nicotine to valiums?
I am on Valium as well. I only take it when times are real hard. I know me and could get addicted real easily then i would start to question which is the lesser of the 2 evils chew or pills. I have yet to ever have it feel like I was replacing one with another. When it does, I will flush the pills.
That's good. Worth keeping on the radar.
I was prescribed xanax. I take them only as needed. Filled 2 weeks ago and I've taken 4.... If you need med assistance go for it. keep an open mind my opinion when taking them or how to.

Who in the October, November team has been dipping roughly 20+ years and have quit cold turkey for 40 days now and still have weird feelings. I dipped for 30 years and went cold turkey, on day 46 now.
I still feel like I am going crazy, if I didn't have the Valium's to help with the anxiety, I think I would.
Anyone else feeling like this? Anxiety, hard to focus, lost in space.
I know some of you have already answered during my introduction period, but to feel this way for this long? Going CRAZY!!!

Input also welcome from our "Support from other Bad-Ass Quitters Team"

I only take it wh n I really need it. I hate taking pills so at this point I don't feel like I need it all the time. But when I do get the anxiety attacks I usually only take half of a 5mg Valuim. Never had anxiety attacks before until I quit dipping. It's better than the alternative!
I've been doing a lot of soul searching and meditating. I almost caved and bought gum today, the register rejected the nico rette and i went to the car and cried taking it as a sign lol my blood work came back healthy so I know this is all in my head. I have a lot of work to do.

Keep on with it guys.

I quit! Day 85 of zero nicotine! I will not cave! I have renewed motivation!
Datsunking, the final days before 100 are tough for a spell. There will be tough days after 100 as well. That is why we quit one day at a time: I am at 141 days-- really good days outnumber bad days now. It does get better.

Reach out to fellow quitters on bad days, support them on better days. It can be tough, nicotine waits for weakness, KTC gives us tools to get past weak spots. As you now know, you do not need the nicotine. You are healthier without it. With each small victory (even register assisted) you mind gets stronger.

I quit with you today.
Does anyone after 50 days still have days where you feel like you are not here or in space somewhere. I still feel like I'm going crazy. I have anxiety all the time anymore. I thought I would be past this by now. Anybody else have these feelings after this amoutn of days with no dip or is it just me.
Yes, yes and yes. Amazing. In the beginning my quit was going great after the first week. I kept thinking what's the big deal? Oh boy, a few weeks ago even this week all heck broke loose. Anxiety hit. 3 trips to the doctor. This week, one of the worst throat issues I've ever felt. Again anxiety kicked in. Hang in there brother/brothers. Wanting a pinch of that stuff isn't an option now. I literally hate the thought of it. One thing I question daily, why didn't I attempt to do this 20+ years ago?????????
