Hello, folks. I have been a chewer since high school. Since around 2004 I have gutted it out of necessity being in the military. Now I have all sorts of acid reflux and stomach issues. For whatever reason though I continue to do it. I have tried numerous times to quit before but I have always came up with an excuse to not. Sometime I don't even realize that I put a chew in. I'll spit one out and automatically put another back in. I have had enough but working with two other people who chew has made it difficult. Please help me!
Plenty of help and support available here. You will find many military quitters (active and post) here who can directly relate to your circumstance and challenges.
Read the intro to new quitters, read the words of wisdom and hall of fame speeches. That should let you know what to expect. Understand that you are an addict, just like I am. Then Flush your dip and quit!
You will want to post roll every day with the January 2016 quit group aka DOGS (the group will reach 100 days quit in January). This is a promise to yourself and every quitter here that you will not use nicotine in any form for 24 hours.
You will want to share digits with fellow quitters, this will help counter the two nicotine addict slaves you work with.
It will suck, it will be hard, nicotine will give you no mercy for a while after you quit... but it gets better in ways you can't imagine. Take charge of your life, stop feeding the addiction, and quit today!
