I quit for 2 weeks then bought a can of Copenhagen original today because I couldn't take it anymore.  Im a police officer and it is extremely hard to not chew at night. Need some serious help. Only been at it a year but I am tired of the hold it has on me. Any advice is definitely welcome.  Thank you!
Go to the welcome center and read what we do and why. Post roll and quit one day at a time. For hell sakes quit now and don't wait decades like many of us. If I can do this after 40+ years you can sure as hell do it. Time to manup, you can do it. Pm me if you need anything.
Ditto as to what WT says. He speaks the truth! says! Put on your big boy shorts, grab your balls, and let's get serious this time!!! Nicotine is one of the most addictive substances know to man. You CAN beat this but you really have to want it!!!! Its your choice! We quit here! not try here!!! If you are really serious about quitting you won't find BETTER support anywhere than you will get here! Don't make the same stupid mistake I made abusing nicotine for over 30 years!!!!!

Hi to all, Not sure where i'm supposed to post the start of my journey. But, this evening. This moment. I have disposed of all chew materials. Bottles, cans. Where is the correct space to start posting/ranting?
See my post below to Bsarno. You will need to post roll in April 2014 quit group. I am sending you a PM with my cell number. I'll be happy to post you to roll. It may be a little difficult/confusing at first but you will get the hang of it. I certainly dont mind helping you post roll--you just stay quit!

Fine decision you made there. Welcome to the fun house.

May I suggest reading? Click on the Welcome Center to get a "big picture" idea of who we are and what we do.

Once you've figured that out, and studied the WHY and HOW to Post Roll, head on over to your new home the April 2014 Pink Princess Pouters and add your name and Day 1.

Don't wait. Don't it now.

I'm back after not posting for a while. I fell back into the trap for stupid reasons but I cannot blame reasons for the rest of my life. It was my decision and I regret it. After a year and a half without it, I thought I could just pack one and see what would happen. Well flash forward 5 months. Time to clean up before I ruin everything. When can I post?
If you have thrown everything out including spitters and any safety cans, you can post a day 1 in the April 2014 quit group. Since you have done this before you know the drill. Post and repeat. Welcome back, take the egg off your face, and embrace the suck!!! No more for any reason. You are a nic addict and always will be!!!! There is no such thing as "just" one as you have learned the hard way!
Right on. Threw everything away. Will post roll in the morning as I did for today. See you tomorrow.
And don't forget to post in your old and new group, explaining what happened, and what you will do to prevent it happening in the future.
Damn! Walk away and it is your own risk here folks! Good example of why to keep posting in your group no matter how trivial it may seem!
I have been dipping for the last 15 months quit for about 5 years before that dipped about 10 years before that first quit. Ready to post roll for day 1 tomorrow sick of this shit
I actually found where you posted Day 1 in the January 14 quit group. That would have been your quit group had you quit when you joined the sight. You will be in the April 2014 Quit Group.

I am going to post you in April 2014 quit group. That is where you will need to post roll daily (because your 100 days from today will be in April 2014)

Very glad to see you posting roll. Most people mess up roll post their first few times. I know I did. If you have any questions about posting roll, etc just PM me. I am sending you a PM with my cell number. Use it.

Today I choose to quit because today is the only day I have control over today. Tomorrow is a new day and when tomorrow is today, I'll control it too, but not until then. I will win this fight with today...

Bsarno,

On January 13, 2014, you said you would post roll "tomorrow". Today is January 14, 2014, and that "tomorrow" is now today. I don't see you on the April 2014 roll post. Did you get bumped, are you a late evening/night poster, or did you not post roll?

I have a question for everyone, I am in day 20 of my quit, my gums bleed more now than they did when I chewed while brushing my teeth. Any one experience this as well?
This is actually pretty common.

I'm not a doctor, but I've got a theory.

When you were actively dipping, your gums were "used" to getting hammered on all day every day. Now that you're done, they're healing, inflamed, etc. and they're bleeding.

The other thing to keep in mind is that now that you've quit, you're hyper sensitive to all things going on in your mouth (at least I was). There's a very good possibility that your gums are bleeding the same amount as they always were... you're just now noticing it.

Thanks Chewie ya things have been weird but I just imagine its my body readjusting to normal. Sense of taste is way off but getting better by the day and I finally last night had my first night of deep sleep through the entire night.
