Yep at times if I put in a dip and only had it in a short time. I would put it back in the can and shake it up and repack the can. Hell I can even remember having a dip in for a long time and my mouth getting really dry and taking a swig out of my spitter to "freshen up" my dip. What a moron!!!

Yep. I used to recycle when it was more than an hour until lunch or quitting time, and I knew that I would be wanting another dip.

I'm willing to bet 99% of the folks on this board used to recycle at times as well. (The other 1% are just lying).

I'm honestly ashamed to say that I have done this.

I remember this being rock bottom for me. I realized how serious my addiction was that I could do something that nasty.
Grit your fucking teeth and man up like the fucking stud you are. I'm right there with you, and I promise not to dip today

did you ever do like i used to and "redip"?

see i didnt dip very many times throughout the day, maybe like 4-5 times...but i would pack a fat old horseshoe in there...and i only would keep it in for 15 or so minutes at a time.

so one day years back i realized that that shit had a lot of flavor left in it so i would take it out, put it back in the can and keep dip it again later until the flavor was gone.

sounds gross i know, but it saved me money! (granted it didnt save me nearly as much money as what i'm saving now that i am not dipping at all....30 days dip free and $72 saved)

cool, thanks....so far just plain old sunflower seeds are doing the trick for me...closest wal mart is about 35 minutes away...so next time i'm up that way i may look for some...but like i say, as of now the seeds are just fine.
The one thing I want to say about Smokey Mtn is it tastes like shit. In my opinion all the herbal dips suck EXCEPT for Hooch. I think Hooch is AMAZING!!!!! And, you will find that you will use less and less of it as the time moves on. But, for now, try it and be happy. For me, this site and Hooch were the two contributors to making this quit LESS painful.

that stuff sold in stores? or only available online?
brother, the hooch snuff can be found on www.hoochsnuff.com
I'm wanting to try the Hooch, just never get around to ordering it on-line. Maybe one day. I do pick up the Smokey Mountain fake at Wal Mart. They have an original as well as a wintergreen. Even though I was (AM) a Cope addict, I prefer the wintergreen fake over the original. So, try Wal Mart if you need fake.
Blah...Blah...Blah...You keep TALKIN....I'll keep QUITTIN

There's no where around me that sells any fake stuff at all. I buy it online; however, I will say that Hooch takes FOREVER to get. Oregon Mint Snuff (I buy the pouches 'cause they're GREAT for bad breath) comes a lot quicker.

I think both sites will tell you if stores in your area sell it. I'm just in the sticks.
What is your major malfunction?!?!?!?!

so we're on day 3 here, yet to have had any withdrawal symptoms...but i've definitely been have the "mind games".  trying to rationalize buying a chan, only for brief moments at a time...no worries though, just grab a few sunflower seeds when that thought pops up...and it aint no thang
The tobacco dip substitutes worked wonders for me. Look up www.hoochsnuff.com This is way better than Smokey Mtn. Chew seeds, gum, whatever, just keep that crap out of your face. Great work thus far...do not lose focus and remember why you are here. Squamous Cell Carcinoma is no joke.
i tried those tobacco substitutes once before, wasnt a fan...i think i used the "mint snuff" kind...started by mixing some with dip, and then using less and less dip and more substitute....didnt do much for me, doing much better so far this time just with determination and a few seeds here and there
All other substitues suck. I didn't find a one I did enjoy except for the Hooch. Hooch is pretty damn close to the real thing.
I second that. Hooch Spitfire works wonders for me. It really doesn't matter, as long as you're not stuffing your face with worm turd.
