glad to hear i wasnt the only one haha...i on more than one occasion (usually while driving) had a dr pepper bottle in one cup holder full of dr pepper and another dr pepper bottle was my spitter.  i rarely finish a whole soda so my spit would be mixed in with it....went to take a swig of dr pepper and grabbed the wrong bottle...dear god i thought i was going to have to pull over and puke
Yeah werent those half full bottles of spit nice after a good two or three days in the sun. Crack the top off to spit into one and the smell would make your eyes water up. 'Crazy'

I was just reminiscing of those sun baked spit bottles the other day. I live in Houston and it's been in the mid-high 90's (100's with the heat index)... I don't miss that stench one bit.

I'd rather smell the anus of a rotting corpse than have to endure that smell again.
OMG - they were so nasty...
I left one open in the car once when I parked at the airport for 4 days, came back and there were maggots all over it.
We were some sick motherfuckers.
Went TDY for work, parked my truck for about a month. When I jumped in to drive home I packed a nice big dip to start me from NYC to Boston, opened an spitter that had been in my truck the whole time (end of August thru most of Sept). Holy fuck I almost died. Smelled like the ass end of a garbage truck.

Worse part, I was driving home with a coworker....she wasn't impressed.
?Upon the plains of hesitation bleach the bones of countless millions, who when on the dawn of victory paused to rest, and there resting died.?
Your quit must be defended against complacency and a false sense of control over your addiction. There is no such thing as "just one." Stay quit.

Called it "rejuvachew". Served two purposes:

1. Saved me money/or trip to store/or having to leave a something fun/or having to waste the chew I just put in prior to someone offering me something to eat that wouldn't work with chew....there aren't too many things I wouldn't eat with a chew in but things like nuts were always hard for me.

2. Kept folks from mooching.

I couldn't re-use a spitter...I needed a new clean cup or bottle each time I dipped. It was weird.

Every once in a while I'd put my dip on the coffee table and save it for later. Some times I'd forget about it and my wife would find it. Holy shit she would get pissed, and my reply was "what, it's just a dip?". What an idiot.

I've been known to reused a pinch or two, a time or two in the 16 years I dipped. Everyone has, however I can't say I ever drank my spitter to "freshen up my dip"...

Tried to recycle, but a used dip wasn't enough to stop the withdrawals. The addict in me thought "why should I waste my time on a weak dip when I can just throw in a fresh one?" which led to "this dip has been in for a few minutes, time to freshen it up with a little pinch" every few minutes for a half hour or so, and "look at all of this wasted empty space in my upper lip and cheeks, think I'll throw dips in there too." I looked like a squirrel saving up for winter.

To me, the fact that I used to spare no expense to feed my addiction is far more shameful than re-using a dip. Glad that shit's in the past.

Yep at times if I put in a dip and only had it in a short time. I would put it back in the can and shake it up and repack the can. Hell I can even remember having a dip in for a long time and my mouth getting really dry and taking a swig out of my spitter to "freshen up" my dip. What a moron!!!
gross lol
