You guys were right. The "sore throat" went away. This was part of the 4-20 days Bullshit.

Did any of you have neck pain? It feels like my muscles on either side and on the back of my neck are sore. It doesn't hurt to turn my head, just sore when I bend it to one side or back.

Congrats on the decision to quit.  Read everything you can and use everybody you can to support your decision to quit.

You can do this, just focus on today and stay quit.
Question Guys...

It is Day 11 and I woke up this morning with something that resembles a sore throat. It doesn't feel like a sore throat and I don't feel anything unless I swallow. I guess it feels more like a small lump or blockage.

Is this normal under the Days 4-20 symptoms?

I convinced myself I had every aliment under the sun ! I made weekly trips to the doctor to have things looked at. I made two trips to the ER cause I knew I was dying. All turned out to be not true.

Detox can be a bitch. The knowledge and stories of the other quitters here helped me understand what all the "symptoms" were. Go read some of the intro pages, read other groups from the beginning, read the link Klark just sent you.

If you are really concerened go to the doc and get checked out but understand that your body is going to start healing itself and you will notice things you never did before.

Welccome to the site, get settled in !!

I checked that before I typed my message. I don't really feel like I have a sore throat. It feels different than that.

A promise not kept is the road to exile.

If quitting is cool, consider me Myles Davis.

Unless you bring value onto my 1/2 acre, I don't want to hear it.

Don't think about it being "Day 2" or whatever. Don't think about tomorrow, next week, or next year. We'll worry about those when they get here. Just focus on quitting today. That is all you need to worry about. And anybody can quit for one day, right?

Quitting is done one day, one hour, one minute at a time (especially at first). You simply man up and post roll. That is your promise that whatever the fuck happens today, you will NOT put any nicotine in your body. Then keep your word all day.

You've taken the first step. Let us help you with the rest. Stay quit, brother!!!

Welcome and good luck. Make sure you post roll everyday. Make that promise just like the rest of us. If you need to vent, vent to us. Don't take it out on family or friends. That is what we are here for. Any questions pm me and I will do my best to help. Stay strong.

Let me add that I posted in Roll Call this morning for the first time.'

The biggest thing aggrevating me right now is the tightness in my chest and my achy back and neck.
Welcome. Good to be quit with you. Give a shout if we can help you in any way.
Day 5 and staying strong.

I really can't eat a big meal or the cravings are horrible.

The tightness in my chest is still there when I deeply inhale. I feel like I'm quitting smoking!
