I know what you mean ... you are now in the phase where the emotional and environmental triggers are going to fuck with your head.

It gets better, I promise. Hang in there, bro ... proud of you.

day 4 almost in the books...today was rough and i was very emotional
I don't know what you mean by "emotional," but I'd be willing to bet someone here experienced the same thing in the first week. I've heard everything from pure rage to emotional breakdowns. Feel free to give some detail and see if anyone else had a similar experience.

Day 4 is a big accomplishment. Yell if you need anything. Good to be quit with you.
Gmann, I'll tell you what my first week was like: not much rage but on the brink of tears just about all day. I'd be feeling better then the news would run a story about little old miss ross' cat stuck in the tree again and I'd be right back to tears like a sniveling bitch. For the record I've been a pretty emotionally stable person until this. Things have gotten much better but still struggle with random bouts of emotional melt downs. Discover probably lands somewhere between gmann and me (you wish, gmann!), that sound about right?

day 3 am going better than expected....head hurts but it was a good morning afternoons allways worse tho
Hey Disco - good news: the poison is almost out of your body. After the physical stuff is done, it becomes a mental game. It's a different game, one that you've got by the balls. Someone told me that 49 days ago when I was on Day 3 and it was good to know what was happening and what to expect. It gets better, quicker than you'll think, but take Soul's advice and don't EVER forget the hell you're in the middle of. You're building the foundation of the REST of your quit. Embrace this and your foundation will be strong. You can do this because all you have to do is make it through the afternoon to bedtime. Tomorrow, repeat. Just to bedtime and you're home free for that day. Proud to be quit with you today.

comming to the end of day 2...so hard to focus on different task and people talking....havent done anything the last two days except lay on the couch with a headache, eat, went to the grocery....hope it starts to get easier
Yeah, if I could take day 2 and bottle that up and give it to any enemy I've ever made...wow. Day 2 was pure shit...happy I quit and miserable as hell. You are making it through though. PM me if you need anything. It does start to feel a bit better with each day after the 3rd. Make this a one time stop in foggy hell.

Keep it up.

The headache killed me for over a month. I know you don't want to hear that but that was my experience. In fact I thought that was one of the worst parts of quitting.

Day 2 is the middle of the shit storm. Don't be surprised if later tomorrow you start to feel the fog lifting. If not tomorrow it will be soon after.

Go get em'

Welcome, my man. We are all here for you if you need it. PM me if you need anything. You'll come out of this thing just fine if you think in terms of day to day.

Man, you new guys rock! Keep helping each other out. You're going through the suck together and kickin' its ass! Check your stance, grit your teeth and lean into that fucker. Never forget it, so you'll only do it once.

I'm quit with you and obviously your bros here are too!
