Gonna post up that day 1, shooter? KTC is waiting with bated breath.
Lets get this rolln... the unicorns, pixie dust and kitten farts are waiting, while we all sing kumbya by the camp fire.

Do me a favor and quit like you have a set!
There are no circumstances in which using nicotine will improve the outcome.

My journey. The best part it is not over yet.

Is there such a thing as a "hint of accountability"? Is that like a hint of pregnancy?

We are "ALL OR NOTHING,. just like being all in for God, you can't straddle the fence brother. Heaven on one side and Hell on the other.
A Hint of Accountability, try saying that to God on the day of judgment, my accountability was just a hint God. How far you think that will get you?
Dive in head first brother, that's the only way it will work.
I quit with you today, not when you decide to quit.

Quitting is hard. That's why we need to do it every day with support from others. There is an army of people here ready to support you if you are ready to quit. All that we ask is that you log in here every morning to commit to your quit. Just do it dude!

Hey Nick

Guess you got confirmation by the guys before me that this is not a "huggy feely" group. And we definitely do not operate on a "hint of accountability". Accountability is all we have and it comes by our word and our promise to each other, every day, no exception. You'll find an amazing group of guys and girls in here that will have your back, if you show up every day, you keep your word and you get their back! You don't show up, don't keep your word and this place becomes thunderdome.

There is no plan, there is no getting there. It's here now and you can do it. Throw the damn can away, start the pain right now and lock arms with the June 2016 group and take it one day at a time!

Good luck brother!

So it goes like this, you want us to send you encouraging emails that you won't likely ever reply to. Oh and your going to do it your way but want to be a part of this community! Excuse my demeanour, you see I'm clean for about 42 hours now and I'm just s little pissed off at just about everything. But wow...your intro really pushed me over the edge. I mean seriously, how self absorbed are you? WTF!!

Greetings all,

First, thank you for this site and for the encouragement. I am planning my quit today after my wife underwent a biopsy and a potential cancer scare looming over us. I am writing this on my iPhone as one of my 6 children (my 4 year old daughter) is laying on her daddy's chest. I am planning to quit on the 1st of the month (sanity reasons) and I know it is a day by day thing. I smoked cigarettes for decades and took up dip to quit smoking. The good news is I successfully quit smoking only to realize cigarettes are cotton candy compared to dip!

Here's the deal. I am not one of those huggy feely types that likes group hugs and therapy sessions. I am not knocking those who are (different strokes). Support groups like these require discipline and effort and I am simply not there yet. Still there is something about encouragement with a hint of accountability that is appealing to me.

Perhaps this group is all or nothing, and you can't have your cake and eat it too. I am cool with that. But if anyone is interested and would like to send me an email from time to time, I would greatly appreciate it.

Now this may sound strange, but I am a total metal head...if you picked this up by the title of my post, I am a big Megadeth fan! I am also a hard core Bible teacher that desires to be a pastor some day. Oxymoron... Perhaps. But I can't picture myself being a metal head pastor that dips...gotta draw the line somewhere...right? All of that to say this, listen..I truly covet your prayers above all things on this leg of my journey. So if there are any metal heads, Christians, pastors, or every day dippers or ex-dippers, feel fee to email me from time to time as well.

Before I go, I want you all to know that each email I get I am committed to praying for that person. If I don't respond, it's not that I did not read your mail, I am just a really busy guy, running a family, an advertising agency, involved heavily in ministry, soccer, scouts and whatever my teenagers are into. I know you are busy too and so I will return your gestures of encouragement by pausing and praying for you throughout the days, weeks, months, years...as I receive your emails.

Thank you and the LORD bless you all.

Nick - there is so much here that I'd like to comment on but I'll just leave it at you clearly don't get it. Which is why you need this place and need to quit right now, not 5 days from now. You're an addict, either sack up and do something about it or go away and come back when you're serious. Hopefully, it won't be too late at that point and your 6 kids won't be planning for life without you. There is no time like right now to throw the can away and get on the path to freedom. This is about you being committed to yourself and showing you're stronger than a little round can.

Please also remove your quit date from your profile (3/1/2016). You haven't quit yet so you don't get to have a quit date. You can re-enter a quit date when you throw that can away for good and are serious about saving your life. The best thing you can do for yourself right now is quit RIGHT NOW! Your call champ...ask your 4yr old daughter what she prefers...

Hey Nick, Save your prayers for your six kids! Orphans seem to be more deserving then a bunch of quitters already doing the right thing. What makes you think the prayers you've undoubtedly projected into the time space continuum up to this point didn't bring you to this place at this time? Huggy feely my ass! This is a knock down, drag out brawl every damn day. Trivializing this battle is an insult to us and your family. May the Lord 'bang head' a thousand times until you get it. Thing is, if you haven't been counting, this might be 999. You waiting for peals of thunder, sheets of lightning?

You know what else? Ads suck these days, you ought to pick up your game in that arena, too. Come back when you're ready.

This place isn't about an every now and then email. It is about quitting cold turkey every day and supporting others. What will be different on the 1st for you? Why not quit now? If you're afraid of cancer aren't you afraid of dipping for 5 more days?

Hey there. So........planning to quit is an issue. Do you know how many times I have planned to quit? Birthdays, New Years, Kid, blah blah blah. I keep planning to quit for 22 years. Don't be me. Quit now.

There is no hint of accountability here. It is the only thing that we live for. It is EVERYTHING.

No one will be able to help you if you are not "simply there yet".

What do you want to do? How many nights will you gamble away your chances of being here so your 4 yr old can lay on your chest?

Quit now.
We can help.
You have to do the work, but we will be here to fight with you.
