Ah-so nice to see I was missed-y'all are just peaches!!! Anyhow, it has been rough, but he is doing it, atleast as far as I know. He handed over all the debit/credit cards, checkbook, etc, so he has no access to our cash-doesn't mean he can't get it elsewhere from a friend and such. But, he hasn't shown any signs, and the first 4 days really sucked bad for him. I know he's chewing atleast 2-3 packs of gum a day, so I take that as encouraging.
As far as him coming on here, I don't think so-but, I could be wrong. However, since I haven't seen him on my puter, I doubt it.
Thanks for thinking of me and him, gentlemen.

Jenn

Dunno. You're pretty new here.  Are you Quitter's Wife's husband by any chance
'crackup' this just struck me as funny even if it is not meant to be !
It sorta was. This was the poster's fourth post and they're looking for someone else who's only posted on here about 5 times herself.

I just thought this post was bizarre.

Okay- I talked to him about the site- left it at that, and showed him where I had it bookmarked. He hasn't bought any chew in about 4 days-not sure how hard he's hanging onto that last can, cause he's not telling and I'm not asking. The ball's in his court, so it's up to him now..........
fair enough - thanks for the update. let us know if we can help.

CLOSE THE DOOR. In my opinion, it?s the single most important step in your final quit. There is one moment, THE moment, when you finally let go and surrender to the quit.
After that moment, no temptation will be great enough, no lie persuasive enough to make you commit suicide by using tobacco. SportDad 1/13/05

wifey

YOU will NOT throw away his tin. He is a big boy. You let him do it on his own. If you do it, he'll resent the fact that you did it and will blame you subconsciously. Then, when his demons come looking for him, or you piss him off, he'll be that much closer to caving with the old "I'll show her routine".

No ma'am. You lead the horse to water...show him the site...and never, ever bring it up again. Any dip related conversations will be instigated by him...you will listen and participate only when asked.

That sounds stupid, but he has got to quit on his own, no pressure from you...no nagging from you.

You turn your husband over to us and get out of the way...we'll handle your husband. He's lied to you many times prolly...but if his head is in the right place...he willl NEVER lie to us.
