I'm with the September quit group, and I'm going on a canoe trip to the BWCA (on the Canadian border) in three weeks. There's no possibility of internet or cell phone access in the BWCA, so I won't be able to post roll for those 6 (maybe 7) days. I'll also be traveling before and after that, so I'll need numbers from some helpful quit-buddy(no homo) to text my roll.
Thanks
Any of you pirates got this?

I'm at day 150. I don't measure my quit in how much or little I want to dip now, rather I measure it in how easy it is to say no to myself. You have and are battling the toughest part and you are winning but it can be so overwhelming initially that you may not know it yet.

Nicotine will change the attacks soon. Once you have defeated her physical control on you she will start the mental warfare but in a subtle way--the thrill of the one night stand for old times sake. Just remember that she is a black widow that wants to eff you and then kill you!

Keep drawing support from the rest of the family here. I saw a couple guys that were posting support this morning in the 800s and I don't deserve a celebratory dip if those guys with 2 more years of quit don't.

Welcome to the quit dman. You can do this. Read read read. Educate yourself on what's coming by hearing past experiences. Post roll, get involved, get that quit going brother. Reach out if you need to.

The first part of your post (which is spot on) is the answer to the second part of your post. It may well get harder, but you'll know how to deal with it. You'll post roll first thing in the morning and you'll hold onto that oath, come what may. Take some of my willpower if you need it. I'll ask for some of yours when I need it back. I'm quit with you.

Reading posts, writing posts, helping other quitters out there...that is what keeps me busy during the idle times where I would previously pack a dip and do nothing productive.

Stock up on seeds, gum, fake, whatever you need to counter the crave. I keep that stuff handy during the times I normally would throw in a lip, like when watching the game on TV or surfing the net.

You can do this. You are doing it. Each day that passes, your quit grows stronger.

So tomorrow at 11:30AM it will be 72 hours since I've had any tobacco in my system. Thanks to you all. Just reading everybody's posts makes a big difference, and I'm surprised how solemnly I take that rollcall.
I have a theory: No one person has enough willpower to slay the nicodemon, but when I'm runnnin low on willpower, I can draw on yours through this site. And I store my surplus willpower (if I have some) on the boards for someone else to draw upon if they need it.
I have a concern though. Although I have been very muddy mentally the last couple of days, I haven't really had any extreme cravings. It worries me that I will have trouble when they do come. But WTF, worrying about what's to come doesn't seem to be what this process is all about. I feel better already.
Thanks again all, you guys rock and/or roll!

Ok, Ok
30 minutes after I first posted this, I took my two tins to the bathroom and flushed them.  That was 3 hours and 10 minutes ago.  I now feel like someone caked a wad of vaseline over my eyeballs, and I'm twitchin and bitchin, but I've begun the detox process.
I posted to the Sept 2011 quit group and I'm gonna give this a shot.
Thanks for the no bullshit, kick in the ass
If you're just giving it a shot, you will fail. OWN yourself today. Aren't you tired of being a slave? You've taken the first step by posting roll. Now, do whatever it takes to stay nicotine free the rest of the day, because nicotine is off the table for you and me. Stay on here reading until you go to bed. That will help pass the time. Then get up tomorrow and post roll first thing. Don't think about it, just post and live up to your word. Just focus on each day as it comes right now.

If I can do this, you can do this. I'll be looking for your post tomorrow morning. Good to be quit with you.
Listen to what Gmann said. Giving it a "shot" is not good enough.

Some times I have difficulty explaining this but it is all your choice.

If you make the choice to be done, then your done. It IS that easy. There will be some shitty days and times ahead. We are here to help you through that.

1.Make the promise every day to not use.

2.Don't use

Make that decision daily to do these two things and you're 100% guaranteed success.
These 2 are correct. I really don't want to waste my time with someone who want's to "give it a shot"
We are all or none here.
