That's the way! Now two things will help you succeed, assuming you already get it that you have to post roll and keep your word daily. 1. Learn all you can by reading here- the welcome center, other quitters intro threads, the article linked in my signature below, etc. and 2. Make friends here- create your own network of accountability and support. Reach out to others , get phone numbers, communicate here so people get to know you.

If I can do this after being a slave to cope for as long, so can you! Welcome to your chance at freedom! You gonna get it?
Read everything on the forum. HOF Speeches, Words of Wisdom, Intros, etc.

Don't be afraid to post and send out some private messages to exchange numbers. Build yourself a network. We are brothers and we are at war with nicotine.

We are all the same. We all sat in our cars and spit in a bottle. We all stayed up late so we could get our fixes. We all spit on our dicks as we took a shit. We all hid uppers at a funeral. We all did all that shit. We are all the same.

There's no such thing as the perfect quit. All you need to do is put the can down and come in here and post your day 1. You are Jeff in Raleigh. I am Joe in Raleigh. I'm 37 days into it and tried the plan thing after dipping for 25 years. Stocked up on patches and nic gum and spent 2 weeks prior to my quit trying the find the best method of patches/gum until finally on a Monday morning put the can down/patches off and made it through day 1. Were the first few days sucky? Hell yeah but I'm typing these words to you as a free man. I don't miss anything about dipping and love paying at the pump without having to go inside. I'm stronger, have more confidence in myself and love the road I'm on now.

I think the fear of going from full nic to no nic has you scared else you wouldn't be going down the wean path. Point is you can do it if you choose to. Having first hand experience of the sucky first days will lift your chances of long term quit success. You need to read this when you log on next time and flush the stuff, post a day 1. Even though you think you know what this site is about, you have no idea the level of support you will get.

Flush and post. Stop opening the patch boxes and return them like I did.
After my experience on here yesterday I decided it's time. I flushed all the open cans I had down the toilet and gave away every thing not opened.

So here I am. I would normally be trying to chug the last bit of hot coffee so I could load up my lip.

Day 1
Jeff that's good news. The one thing you will not hear anyone on this site write is that it was a mistake to quit...or to use Kill the Can to do it. Life is going to be rocky over the next stretch but it will get easier. You can do this. It was great to see you man up this morning.

Don't worry about getting confused on navigating the site. It's a right of passage to fuck up role call at first. You will get the hang of it soon.

Bravo Jeff. Now go to the quit group section and post roll with sept 2014. Also read the welcome center.

Get your name on roll ASAP.

Welcome to quit.
welcome jeff.....no need to gather up any tools. You have entered the Home Depot online website dedicated to quit. No "weaning" off anything. Get rid of it all and lets do this. Click on my name and check the links under my "interests". That will explain the why and how involved n posting roll. PM me whenever you need to. Get in the chat room when your feeling like shit. Read all the intros, Kern story, and all the info to solidify your quit. I'll be checking on you dude. You can do this.
Heck, yeah!! Good job, Jeff!! Glad to see you on roll!! That was a pleasant surprise when I looked on roll earlier this morning and saw your name. Keep it there!

Congrats Jeff. I need you had it in you. Must have been the incessant PM'ing huh??? Anyway. I'm quit with you today because you chose to put yourself and your family ahead of any more poison. The next few days are going to be tough but keep grinding and read everything you can on the site when you're having a tough go. My suggestion on where to start after our roll group is Words of Wisdom. Lots of bad ass quitters have posted snippets and stories from their quits that show not only that this is possible, but with the right amount of gumption and following the KTC rules, it's likely.

Welcome again and you have my number. Use it any time.

Ha Ha. See there, we shamed your ass into it. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Glad to see you here Jeff. Welcome, hold on for the next few days, it'll be a hell 'ov a ride. If you have family, do NOT take this out on them. They did nothing to put that poison in your mouth.

Jeff glad you decided to let your balls drop and flush the poison. You have come to the right place. All you need to do is not use nicotine for today then wake up and repeat. It is a lot easier than you are expecting. You have a lot of bad asses posting on this page. I too am in your corner!
