The support here is incredible.  I love it!

I did not cave in as obvious with my post roll.

It was the nic bitch in me asking that dumbass question.  'bang head'

I received an outpouring of support via texts and PMs(and some hate mail!)  I know after last weekend, for me, I can have a few cocktails and be fine.  I enjoy a couple bourbons on the weekend and I have accepted the fact I dont need a chew every time I have a cocktail.

Thanks derk, construction, Sam, mogul, Chris and Gris for the support, ass chewing (no pun intended) and words of wisdom.
Good to hear, no problem asking questions you foggy suicidal cat. Just wait for the response:-)

Keep reading, not that far ahead of you, but far enough that I can tell you it will get better incrementally ODAAT!!!

Cheers!
Damn right. You don't need a chew to do anything. That crap did nothing for you except own you ass and now you are calling the shots. You are free. Keep posting roll EDD. Use your tools and stay quit. Keep your word today!
1 PROBLEM + NICOTINE = 2 PROBLEMS..... 'zombie'

I ate a lot of popcorn waiting for you to surface again after that roll call post yesterday..... 'Popcorn'

This morning's roll call made me nervous for your quit....questioning why you cannot have a dip with a couple of beers.  Hoping I misunderstood your comment and perhaps you meant "why are people challenging me on drinking while I am still early in my quit".

Let me say upfront, I drink.  I will also say that in the first ten days, I drank.

Now that said, alcohol lowers inhibitions and clouds judgment....fact.

If I take your roll call comment as it appears to be written.....then that is exactly why many feel alcohol is a risk to a young quit.  That would be the nic bitch talking, "I can handle just a dip, just a smoke, while I drink only"  That my friend is a pile of steaming bullshit, and don't you make the mistake of believing it.

Personally, I saw a big difference to coming home after a long week, having a good dinner, a couple of bourbons while sitting on the couch with Lovey and dragging my miserable quit ass to bed with a buzz that helped me sleep during the suck....vs. hanging out in a smoky bar, shooting pool, throwing darts with a bunch of my buddies all smoking and chewing.  Others would not make that distinction, but to each his own.  It worked for me...it was my plan.  I also have a Lovey that would have cut off my balls had I tried to leave the house and drive to the convenience store while drunk (FIG - Feisty Italian Girl).

Kurt, you need to decide and plan what is going to take for you to remain quit.  Maybe not drinking early on is what you need.  IT IS YOUR QUIT AND YOUR LIFE.  Think it through and make a plan....don't kid yourself though.  Don't throw away 6 days.  Take caving out as an option....nic is out of your life forever.
I 2nd this comment exactly. I went to bat for you about drinking in the early stages of a quit and then read your post this morning ??? "...have a dip while drinking beer" ??? WTF are you thinking ??? Don't throw away 6 days of Suck !!! I hope that your post was just misunderstood somehow. Please clarify.

Kurt... what the F is this? Is this a serious question?

You can't dip when you drink because you are an addict  you quit.

However, you can do whatever you want to do. If you want to drink  dip that is your decision and your problem.

Know this... We Quit here. Once we quit we don't use nicotine in any form.

Figure out what it is you want to be... a dipper, or a quitter.

If I were  a pussy and you were fucking me, I would not be cumming. Just saying.
Defeated? I take offense to that. WTF are you talking about Mogul? If you're trying to get a rise out of me because I chose to have a few cocktails while NOT dippin: GET BENT!!!. I may only be a 4 day quitter but fuck off, if I am on this site and I say I am done then I am fucking done.

Nothing in this world will get me to suck on the poison tit of nicotine again. I am 4 bourbons in now and a couple beers and I say fuck you nic!

I GOT THIS!
That's what I'm talking bout
Liking the fire in that quit today. Keep it up!
Congratulations Kurt on taking your life back. Your avatar made me laugh out loud and reminded me of my first 30 days quit. If you want to have a few drinks now, go ahead. Early in my quit, my Russian wife, her dad and myself drank vodka like tomorrow was never going to come. It seemed to help some at that time. Today, I am on Day 194 quit from nicotine and 36 days of zero alcohol. Embrace the suck right now :D

The poison sucks. I hate it. I hated it this morning, I hated it at noon, I hated it at supper and I hate it tonight. I enjoy hating it so much I'm going to wake up tomorrow and start over hating it. I quit with anyone that wants to hate it with me.
