Had to post this update since I have all of you to thank for this.

I recently just got new job, its a job that I had been chasing and interviewing for almost a year.

Come to find out when I get my official job offer that the company has a zero tolerance tobacco free policy and that you must pass drug screening for tobacco in order to be hired...

Needless to say I passed with flying colors cause I have been quit with all of you for 332 days and counting.

SO THANK YOU TO EVERYONE ON THIS SITE WITHOUT YOU IT WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE!!
^^FUCKING WINNING!!!^^ Congrats on that

Day 17- Nicotine brings out the big guns...

Here I was cruising through 16 days thinking I was hot shit. Well Nicotine is no lightweight and isn't going to go down without throwing all its punches.

In the span of past 24 hours- my daughter threw up at daycare which means Dad has to balance work from home /take care of sick child, pregnant wife decided she hates work and doesn't see why she needs to work (which of course leads to a fight), college professor that I stayed in touch with post college took his own life, and now I am back at office working late hours to make up for work that didnt get done while working from home while wife angrily texts me...

2 things are pushing me through this

1. I have no interest in answering those 3 dreaded questions as I know there is not legit excuse for a cave

2. I  have been clean for 17 days theres no way in hell I am going back to experience the suck again.

Honestly I think its the times like this that make this place so valuable.  anybody can survive no craves or small craves hell i even pulled that off a few times. This si really the first time I have ever Felt that monster crave and had ability to say no thanks I'm good.

I have made it through 21 hours and 8  minutes of my promise of no dip today just need to make it next 2 hours and 52 minutes to get that sweet sweet new day and sweet new roll post.
and to follow up on that.

For all the people who criticize the tough love that is given by the vets to newbies and cavers.. this is why

I am dying on these craves but the satisfaction of a dip pales to how badly i don't want to have to post a 1 tomorrow in roll and deal with the veterans

So thank you to all the brothers out there that bust balls and make life hard on us newbies as they say "the finest steel has to go through the hottest fire"
It gets better. And then again it gets worse. Well the suck in the beginning is the worst. But the battle continually changes. About the time you think you have it all figured out, it changes. Gotta be quick on your feet. And you can always do what some have suggested. Slam your nuts in a drawer repeatedly until you forget about the crave. But I don't think I've had a crave so bad that I would have to slam repeatedly. Once would probably work.

Hang in there. You're almost there. You got this! Tomorrow will look so good after standing up to that Monster Crave. Yes, I'm a woman so I like to look on the bright side. Crazy glad to be quitting with you.
