77,

I'm glad you decided against that quit date nonsense. We've had an influx of people lately who set a date, then disappear, never to be heard from again. But enough about them. Let's talk about you!

You're right! Most of us have a similar story. You're tired of ground leaves in a can dictating how you spend your time, your money, and your life. That's a fine reason to quit in my book.

You have some rough days ahead. I won't lie - it's hard, man, just like anything else in life that's worth doing. But I've yet to meet the person who has regretted quitting. Hang in there, constantly drink water, read everything you can, and get some exercise. Even just simply walking will help. It'll be a fight, but if you're determined to win, you will.

I wont be digging in the trash for it. I poured coffee on top of it. The biggest problem is that about 50% of the people i work with chew so there is always some available.

Ive been lurking on here the past couple days reading as much information as i can. I signed up yesterday and had a planned quit date of 10/10/15 and was going to do all of this then but i woke up this morning and my first thought was fuck-it, today is the day.
Fast forward to a couple minutes ago and i dumped out my open can and also went out to my truck and pitched the new can and any other empties in their.

Here's my back story:

I smoked since i was about 15 or so. I didnt pick up dipping until about 2001 being that i couldnt smoke at work. I quit smoking back in '08 but have chewed about a 1/2 can a day since. Im just tired of it. I know longer enjoy it.
Its something i have to do:
-first thing in the morning
-after my first coffee
-after i eat breakfast
-before i have lunch
-after i have lunch
Im sure my story is the same as most if not all of you. Just tired of it controlling my day. I'm DONE JUST DONE WITH IT.

Now i will head over to my group and add my name to the roll call. Thanks for having me.
Way to dive in and flush (at least I hope it was a flush, diving in the trash for an unopened tin is not unheard of).

As you probably saw from reading, you need to drink lots of water and don't be afraid of fake dip or seeds to get you past the fog etc.

Go to the January 2016 quit group and post roll, your promise to yourself and all others that you will not use nicotine today. Get some digits -- fellow quitters can help you get through this.

Plan on it sucking, relish the suck, stay quit and never go through the suck again.

I quit with you today.
