Just speaking from the heart my friends. I was passionate about dip..now I'm passionate about the quit. Quit with me brothers and sisters.
Continue on your journey, you will see your life change in so many way's. Hard to explain it but you will see little things that before didn't mean a whole lot, that will be an eye opening," wow" I was missing alot more than I ever realized! Nic cheats you of alot of life! Quit on my friend and keep writing it makes my quit stronger!
I'm noticing things left and right that I was missing and I'm sure more is to come. No time taken away from the kids to spit in a bottle, the wife likes to lay up on me at night (BOOYAH), teeth have whitened back up, gums aren't bleeding or sore, and so much more. Best decision ever. I never would have been able to do it without you motivating assholes helping me out.
Glad we can help....
Life is better without poison.
Great start sir.
I Quit with you today.

Good morning all...Once again, I am here posting about me. Why? Because I am a proud quitter. I was a slave to the nic for almost 12 years and quitting was by far the hardest thing I've ever had to do for myself. I'm no one special, no hall of famer (yet), and certainly no standard for anyone to follow. I am just here to offer support for those wanting to quit and not doing so. 90% of us on here probably read posts from those who have quit for months before taking the plunge and doing it ourselves. You're here for the same reasons we all are...to quit. The things going through your head right now are probably what you need to listen to. "I need to quit! these folks did...I can to! I want to be in the hall of fame. I want to earn the HOF coin" You need to kick out the negative bastards in your head like 'after this can...I will on new years...after hunting season....etc" All those are a great way to NOT quit.
I posted the topic title for my day 26 roll call and realized...I'll use this. It is exactly that...want it, feel it, be it. You have to want to quit for yourself...no one else. Want it bad enough to challenge yourself and actually do it. FEEL IT....nothing in life ever comes easy. Getting rid of the nicotine in your body will suck! Days 2 and 3 will be your worse so get through the headaches, foggy feeling, anger, irritation, etc and you're golden. Someone once told me, feel the side effects and remember them. You only have to live through that once so use those ill feelings to remind yourself to never again become a slave. I didn't think I could do it. You'll think "just one pinch to knock the edge off." NO cold turkey is just that and the best way. Don't let the little devil on your shoulder push you into "one more to kill the headache"...take a damn advil and drink water. Find something that works for you like gum, seeds, jerky, smokey mountain snuff (all natural and you'll feel the burn like a 'real' dip) or any other tobacco/nicotine free alternative. You can do this.
Finally....BE QUIT. You'll always want to use dip, but you won't need it. The WANT comes from being a creature of habit. You WANT it because it's something you are used to. Shake off the want, find something else, and be proud that you went another day. Wake up every morning and post roll making that promise. You will have days where first in the morning aren't possible (I'm guilty at that) but I always make it by the end of the day. People will reach out to you, help you, motivate you, and give you the guidance YOU want. Ask them to be tough on you, text you, call you, swap numbers, etc. And you can do this. I am on day 26 and I haven't missed roll yet, I've come close a few times and trust me...I caught pure hell for it. So with this said, pull up your big girl panties, toss the can, grab nic by the balls, and take charge of you own life...you'll be glad.
Well said sir! ^^
Just awesome. Thanks for sharing.
Dammit son spoken like a well oiled vet! Keep it up ! Damn proud to call you a friend and a brother!
Seems like you have a good understanding of what it means to be a quitter. Never forget what you've gone through so far and you'll never have to worry about repeating this. Keep quitting ODAAT and you'll continue getting stronger. Proud to have you!
I know personally I can't see myself going through what I've went through again. 1 time my friends is enough for me...

Checking in with everyone. Been slackin on roll call but I've made it each day. Been crazy busy with farm, work, etc and haven't been able to post until the evening. Still holdin strong though. Getting ready for Christmas and stuff has been a good thing to get my mind off my long forgotten friend Grizzly Wintergreen Pouches. The folks at the gas station are impressed and asked how I made it look so easy. no secret there, told em about the site and suggested it to them. Check in folks, lemme know how yall are doing.
Look Marine, excuses are like assholes most of us have one or live with one, either way wake up ,take your 2 minutes to respect yourself and quit family by posting roll! Take a minute and read some other slackers who posted "whenever they had time" there no longer with us! Quit on!
'Crazy' you care what the clerks at the gas station think, but you don't care enough about your quit or your quit brothers to post early? And for crying out loud, nicotine was never your friend. Unless you call something that steals your money, your time, your integrity and could give a shit if it steals your life, a friend.

Get back on track marine. Quit with you!
I'm doing great marine_2002. I post roll here as soon as I am awake in the morning and then I check to make sure that others in my group got here too. Don't slack - be a leader, your quit will be stronger if you lead rather than follow.
Damn... you boys are rough. At least I'm posting...shit. LOL Trust me, if I could post earlier each day I would. Life is unpredictable when you work in a federal prison and more specifically part of a special team that gets called in all hours of the night. Things get crazy and I may go 2-3 days without seeing a cell phone/computer until night time. When you get the call to get here NOW...you tend to leave all that shit home haha. Don't confuse my "excuses" with bullshit because I simply forgot or slipped. Hard to explain to the Marshalls or FBI that I was late because I forgot my cell phone haha. But for real, I appreciate the kick in the nuts. Glad to hear from you fellas.
Hi marine. Glad the quit is going well. You've gotten some expert counsel from some bad ass quitters.

Keep up the quit. One day at a time it gets better.

Don't be afraid.  You are not alone.
