Another day down. The weekend is hard but being able to focus only on my kids and wife is amazing. They help me stay focused on this quit. I just wish all of these dang pains and aches from quitting would go away.

I feel like I post a lot when in reality I am using this page as a substitute. I now look forward to posting and learning during this process. I find comfort knowing there are people just like me dealing with the same problems and fears. I wish I never would have used that damn poison but I did now I have to do the work to be away from it. There is way more to life than being ruled by a can.

So I have made it a week now. I am proud of the choice I make every day now and I know it is for the better. Still having pain in the front of my neck and some near my ear but we all have to heal. The poison is no longer keeping its hold I finally feel like I am getting somewhere. Thank you to all of the people who have answered my questions even if they were dumb ones. I can't wait to be completely free from this garbage and feel good again.
I am at day 70 here. I still have some numbness in my mouth, mostly on the left side. The numbness now is not nearly as bad as it was during the first week of my quit. I am sure that my mouth is just healing from all of the abuse I put it through with dip for the last few decades. I get some headaches here and there as well. Taking an aspirin for it works. Buying a can would only hit the reset button on your nicotine withdrawal.

One week is awesome. I remember when I was at one week and that was about when I realized that I could really be free. I've made it 10 weeks now. If I can do it you can do it.

I quit with you today.
Thank you for the amazing support. Everyone has been pretty helpful so far it makes this so much easier.
I posted here for the first time in my introduction thread on my day 6. Someone responded within 15 minutes, and then a few others responded right after that. This is an active site. There are people here who really want to help and who are actively looking to help others. For many of us it helps our quit to assist someone.

Everyone here should take advantage of that. B)B
Well said. I have noticed it helps me even to just read on here. And knowing that all of the pains I have are normal eases my mind a bit as well.

Is the Smokey Mountain fake stuff good to use? That is all there is in my area.
Yes it is I'm still using it every now and then!
Thank you man.
use it as you need it. it beats shoving the real deal in your mouth.

I was using SM, seeds, gum and jerky.

Now I'm using nothing but, if I get that urge I will gladly grab a can of SM.

Quit on!

Welcome to ktc Rob. Everyone here has been where you sit and are uniquely qualified to help you start adding up the days. We keep things simple. We quit today. We don't worry about tomorrow or next month, we just focus on going through today without nicotine. We make our promise first thing every morning, and honor it. I quit you today.
Rob... Is your head still attached to your neck?
You breathing?
Your good....
You were not created to use poison.
Poison plays with your mind.
Dont let it ever mess with you again.
You may die if you use it again.
Thats when you stop breathing.
Not good.
You can and will live a better life without a lie.
Drink water.. Exercise... Breath.... Keep your head straight.
Enjoy life without chains.
I quit with you today.
Rawls 358
I believe.....
