Still quit here with February. Getting better but still having a lot of anxiety and stress. Some of the odd aches and pains still scare me even though I have been to the dentist like 3 times and he says I'm fine.
Nic is throwing a fit because she is gasping for the final breaths of air. Keep suffocating her, you can do this. Keep battling through the funk and just remember that using nicotine at this point will only erase everything you've gone through to start the process of earning that freedom back ODAAT. You can do this, just stick with it.
Well blood work is sent off for cholesterol and Doctor says I'm looking fine so hopefully everything is well. He did however give me anxiety meds to help calm me down.
I was borderline for statins when I quit. By the week before Hall of Fame, my blood tests came back in the "ideal" zone. Same with triglycerides and a couple other scary things the doctor was tracking. Nicotine does deep damage, but once quit we heal. As King N put it, suffocate the nicotine but take an easy breath yourself. You are winning.
Thank you guys for the words of wisdom. I just get scared about my health easily and the random pains in the front of my neck get me worried.
It's perfectly normal. What isn't normal is how your addict brain wants to react to it. You're actively rewiring it right now, but it takes some time. ODAAT will get you there.

Well I think my lower wisdom teeth are part of this problem with neck pain. It seems to be coming through a bit farther to the outside ad it rubs my cheek. That may be some of the neck and ear problem I guess thank you all for input.

So I have made it a week now. I am proud of the choice I make every day now and I know it is for the better. Still having pain in the front of my neck and some near my ear but we all have to heal. The poison is no longer keeping its hold I finally feel like I am getting somewhere. Thank you to all of the people who have answered my questions even if they were dumb ones. I can't wait to be completely free from this garbage and feel good again.
Rob, I wonder if you are grinding your teeth while you sleep, or locking your jaw real tight and sleeping tense. That could explain the neck and ear pain, especially if it is the muscles. That goes along with anxiety, which is common withdrawal symptom.
Thank you I will look into it. Where would I start?

Another day down. The weekend is hard but being able to focus only on my kids and wife is amazing. They help me stay focused on this quit. I just wish all of these dang pains and aches from quitting would go away.
The aches and pains will go away eventually, but until they do look into those kids face, you see that smile its worth every damn second of the aches and pains. Spend time with your family don't waste any, were not promised tomorrow and we know we have wasted plenty on the poison! Damn proud of you! Quit on my friend!
Tobacco is so addictive it took me a year after a massive heart attack, in which doctor confirmed caused from dipping to finally put a lid on the bitch! ODAAT EDD
