Shawn....

You said you wanted a little busting in the balls and I have really been wanting to hand one out.  I see a bunch of you guys so excited about coming here and quitting... they post their stupid little intro telling us their history and how much they want to quit, how they have been stupid for 30 years, scared shitless about cancer, this that and the other and they don't even make it to day 3. Well I think you are a little different.  You said you have been through the Air Force, so I don't think you are a pussy, but I want to make a bet that you wont be here in a week.  Want to prove me wrong, go ahead!  But weak quitters like you are a dime a dozen.  I will give you one hint to prove me wrong!  Post an update on your intro here each day so when you look back you can see how far you have come and you can think about the hell you went through.  Remember these next few days and promise that you won't go back to killing your self.  Post roll everyday... promise me, your quit brothers in October and everyone else on this site.

You want to prove me wrong... pussy?

I had my first at the young age of 12. that was 31 years ago...now, at that time, i would only bum a dip from people. it wasn't until i turned 15 that i started buying my own. i was so addicted that even through basic training in the Air Force, i found ways to dip! I've stopped a few times only for a short while so i could take up smoking. I've been trying to quit for so long and never could do it. This morning, i was searching for some help to quit. my actual search in google was "how to quit snuff" and that led me here. So, i'm quitting. right now. 7/11/2012 @1:47pm. I'm really looking forward to the kick in the ass i need from you guys to keep me on track. This is going to be a very hard road i'm sure. my addiction runs deep.

For a little background of myself, i have an awesome wife, two daughters (8 and 13) and a dog. Thanks for the space. i will need it to vent i'm sure!

thank you guys. i have been reading here all day so far (not getting much work done). it's 3:03pm now and man am i jittery already! my routine was to have a dip in whenever i wasn't eating or sleeping. Tonight is going to be very hard. i can see that already.

Wt57, I appreciate you leaving your number for me, and even more for the encouragement. this place is something i wish i would have found long ago. i know i can quit. i know i have what it takes to quit. i also know i cannot do it without support and encouragement.

Welcome to the party. First thing you need to do is to go to the welcome center... link is above ( Salmon Color) Click on that and understand how and why we do what we do.

When you have read and understand posting roll you can find your quit group ( Oct 2012 ) and post your promise with them.

Great Decision !!
Shawn follow Greg's instructions. Roll call can be confusing for a new quitter complicated by the tension of quitting. If you will go to your inbox upper right and click on it I'll leave you my # if you have trouble posting text me. Remember 1 day is always possible!
