I found this site 7/11/2011 and signed up. At 3:00pm that day...I quit. posted roll every day and made my 100 day mark. No way it was easy, but i did it. After my 100 day, I went off on my own a free man. Quit. I just wanted to check back in and say that i am still quit. Thanks to the support from the people here and thank you for the forum and web site. This is a great resource! Thank you, for helping me kick the nic bitch out of life!
Im glad you are quit, but maybe you arta pay it forward and help some of these new guys going through the fog. Quit on.
Check you quit year my friend, you were with us Oct12 madmen. And yes a solid poster in those first 100 days. Glad to hear you are still quit...why not post again with us, stick around a bit. Quite a bit has changed since you have last seen.

And remember, just because we use this site to quit nicotine, we can use the Brotherhood that we form for so much more.

shawn... you have proved me wrong since day one. I thought you were weak and that we would never see you again. Stay strong, stay quit brother. Continue to stay quit one day at a time. Can't wait to read your HOF speech!

running day 19 now. doing really well lately. the crave is not so strong and the fog has lifted for the most part. i have more good days then not now.

does anyone know how to post roll with a smart phone? i travel a lot for work and i find that sometimes i cannot get internet service. it would be nice to use my phone so i can post anywhere. at least where there is cell service.

SmartPhone Instructions can be seen here. There may be a better link. Maybe someone else can help?

Good to hear about the feeling of comfort at Day 19. That's awesome. The good news is, the bad spells will be separated by longer and longer periods of time. When the good times come, the best piece of advice is this...REST! Rest up for the battles that are sure to come. Your addiction is not done with you by a long shot bro. Your "good times" will be extended. Again...REST!

The funks come...the funks go. Each a little less intense than the last. Make that Roll Call early. Make it daily. Be a man of your word. It's the simplest hardest thing you will ever do. Just remember...you are not alone. You are being supports and protected by the strength of a 1000 men. You just gotta be willing to rely on that strength when you are the most vulnerable.

Be cool friend...be clean. Lickably clean.
Particularly lickably clean...loot checks that

day 15 now. i went to sleep around midnight. woke up at 2:30am and could not go back to sleep. i got up and took a walk. that was pretty nice. everything was calm and quiet. but after that, i was up for the day. i made a good breakfast and watched TV until it was time for work. now i'm exhausted! hopefully tonight will yield more sleep. i feel great with my quit. just have to get my sleep pattern worked out.

day 11. Today is AWESOME. i slept in and woke up feeling great! absolutely no crave today.
Shawn, keep up the good work. Cherish these days, and know that they only get more likely as your quit grows. I PROMOSE you that days like this are LOT more common than not at day 182.

Use this good day to pick up some foggy quitter.
*Quit today. Full stop. No qualifiers. Tomorrow?... IDK, IDC.

Shawn beware, there are really good days mixed with really bad days! Enjoy both the good the bad and the ugly embrace it! Just be on your toes and be ready for her to pounce, she will!!
It still amazes me at how predictable and constant quit day and symptoms are the same.

Awesome that you feel great. Stay the course an you will rack up tons of days like this! However, you are not out of the woods. You are going to have funks and wonder why you never can poop.

Take the good and bad in stride. All our phases. Just enloy, or survive the day. No matter how you feel, nicotine lies. You can't feel great with her. Keep kicker her sorry ass to the curb!

thanks for the push. i've tried seeds and nuts most of the day. tonight seems to be a little better. at least i feel calmer. my eyes still burn like hell though, which is weird. i will quit again tomorrow. day 3 here i come!
If it were easy, anyone could do it. Dig deep and keep your word till you go to bed. Sleep the sleep of a proud and honest man than repeat. You can do this but don't expect it to not suck. Above all, be well today.

day 10
feeling a little antsy today and light headed. i will be drinking alot of water today to combat this. i found a strange thing too. my tastes are changing. i used to drink coors light. now it tastes crappy. i've tried a few different beers and all taste stale to me now. i enjoy (used to) a cold beer while i'm grilling, and i grill three - four days each week. what a shitty side effect! no more beer for me? anyone else had their taste change?
Shawn.... I know what you mean. I use to drink Miller Lite, now I only have a taste for the more expensive beers! Hurting my wallet!

Helms
i used to like miller lite too. cant drink it now. i tried a modelo last night. no go. still a stale taste to me. i'll find something eventually. i'm quit today. day 11 and rolling through.
I don't always drink beer, but when I do it is Root.

'archer'
Coors light ALWAYS tasted crappy - you just never noticed... Step up your beer selection bro - you'll never regret it. So many great craft brews......so little time. Cough up 12 bucks for a sixer of Golden Monkey and you will never go back to drinking shity beer again..
Wait a minute....I just realized you are 10 days in. Let me ad a disclaimer to my previous post:

For most, alcohol is a trigger mechanism. Alcohol + grilling strikes me as a particularly devious trigger mechanism. Excercise caution my friend - many good quits have been derailed by the activities you are talking about. I believe that each quitter here has their own level of mental toughness and their own level of quit inside - some are weak, some are strong, some are enjoying the quit, some are not enjoying at all, and many are guarding terrified quits.... so I am not one of those that will preach to you about not drinking early on....only you know if you can handle that....BUT.....I will say to make sure you are vigilant. Make sure you are secure in your thought process of quitting, and make sure you have a plan in place to combat any potential craves.
I have control over my quit. There's no luck involved. - Diesel2112
