Its been a while since I felt talkitive, but this morning I do. its been a long road from Day 1. But I've had just as many hours in a day to stay quit as everybody else . Now I'm not saying every hour was easy but it was easyer than letting everyone else on this site down that made a promise to.
I would like to give a heart felt thanks to everyone that sent me their number and talked me down from the edge.
Day 5 was one of the hardest days ever. All I could think about was dip, dip, and dipshit if i cave now. I sent out quite a few text messages that day and to my suprise every message was returned. That made me feal real good. It let me know that my FREINDS where their for support.
I'm now on Day 10 and I'm still quit one day at a time.

All in all I was not that bad of a day today. Had a few cravings and a few people show their ass. I stopped and got a can of smokey mountain. Just in case if you know what mean. Well goodnight quiters I'll see y'all at roll call.

Day 4
Didn't sleep worth a shit last night. I woke up every 15 minutes or so. Don't know if it was the bitch or just my brain. I've done good today so far. I've watched a few guys load their lip up and explained why I quit. One guy told me that he cod be doing worse things. I told him no he couldn't. Here we go one day again.
You can't change an addict until they're ready. We were exactly the same way. Rock on, man. One day at a time.

Thanks guys.
We just got back from church and my wife's grandfathers. I had one of the best laughs today. He told me that I need to quit dip and start chewing. His doctor told him that dip has pieces of metal in it that punctures the gum to help absorb the nicotine. Chew has no metal in it so it's better for you. I just shook my head and laughed. He also said that he would hypnotize me. I said hell no cause next thing I know somebody will say some certain word and I be doing the funky chicken naked. In Walmart.
Then my wife said and I quote " How do you know he already hasn't hypnotized you". I mean damn. So if y'all see some fat naked dude in Walmart doing the funky chicken that'll be me.

Well been staying bussy today. Mowed, weedeated and tore apart my 4 wheeler. It's an old one I bought to fix but hey no time like now to get started.
I'm going hunting this afternoon so that will help some more. I usually didn't dip in the tree stand so hopefully it will get my mind off of it.
Later guys
That's good... just stay busy, and the thoughts will go away. The longer your quit, the less you'll think about it. be strong, be quit.

Woke up this AM and not to bad. I've had to shake off the erge. My gums are a little soare this morning witch i thought was weird. But other than that im doing great.
Stay tough Cshock. Everything about nic is a lie. You are doing the right thing and doing it well. I don't give a damn if a guy has 1,000 days or 1 day - they are both quit. Focus on 1 day at a time. Focus on one MINUTE at a time if you have to. You can do it. There are thousands of people on this site who do it everyday. Keep it up man. PM me if you need anything.
I have control over my quit. There's no luck involved. - Diesel2112

So we just got back from my wife's grandmothers funeral. I watched a few light up a cigarette, my father in law is chewing some nicoret gum and her grandfather just put a chaw in.
I got this. It sucks but I keep telling myself it's worth it.
Just remember your body is screaming for the drug because it has been fooled. It is living a lie. Drink lots of water your first few days, and don't ever forget 'The suck'. I'll quit with you bro!

Never, ever forget how much it sucks. But, you only have to go through it once.

And it is most definitely worth it. Hang tough, and for God's sake, ask for help if you need it.
Nobody trips over mountains. It is the small pebble that causes you to stumble. Pass all the pebbles in your path and you will find you have crossed the mountain.
