Not sure what is going on. I can barely keep my eyes open this morning. I hope I feel better soon or this is going to be a long day at work.

I have done quite a bit of reading on here and haven't come across nicotine gum being discussed.  Does anyone know if it is allowed?  And if it isn't, why?  What are some theories as to the pros and cons of using it while quiting.
Totally nicotine-free site. Cold turkey is the only way to go. Nic gum is just a different delivery system.
I discovered that last week. Cold turkey is how we roll.
That is correct brother!!

Hit some rough spots last evening. Had to do some driving and I was hungry. Been using seeds and they help big time. However, I am going to look for some unsalted ones because my throat is a little dry today and I think it's from all the seeds. Concentrating is difficult at times. Of course I have thought about how good a dip would be but I have not even thought twice about caving. I will not dip today.

Had a rough Saturday. I drank two cups of coffee and I believe it added to my anxiety. I had it bad for a few hours in the afternoon. After I got through that I was ok. Sunday went mostly well. Sat behind my computer at home going through mail and doing bills, did stuff around the house...did lots of things that I enjoy doing because I do them with a dip in.
Used seeds and a few suckers and made it through. I am seriously to the point that I think I will never turn back. I want this so bad for all the right reasons. I don't ever want to go back to day 1.

Yesterday was my birthday. May 30. Met up with a friend for dinner and had a nice burger and beer. Man I was craving after that.
I was ready to start climbing the wall but it passed after about 10 minutes.
Felt great this morning, feels good to be NIC free. I actually feel healthier.
This weekend will be a challege but I'm up for it. One day at a time.
Glad your still quit, fight her off, spread your accountability around, so everyone knows your quit. I will help.

I quit with you today.

Grim, first it is a grim day for the nic bitch but a brilliant day for you my friend. This is going to be rough for a few more days. I see your bad ass posting roll, you keep that up, you post roll, then you keep your damn word. It's that simple! Notice I said simple not easy. It gets better though! Let me know if you need anything.
I would rather lose to a cheater than win as a cheater.

Cool Grim you're hanging in there. Guys who've been there can understand what it's like but still not easy at all. After reading stuff on this site you at least could prepare for the worst so maybe it's not as bad as you thought. I was worried I'd have to quit my job due to onset of dumbmentia from quitting. Nothing of the kind happened so just plan on staring when its time to stare. No one will cross you if you keep a kind of mean facial expression at the same time.

Well, day 3 is finishing up.  Had some difficult times today but made it.  The day was good, way home form work got harder, after dinner was harder, and when I went outside to do some yard work it was even harder.  But here I am watching the Red Wings enjoying an ice tea.  Beat two major triggers today....doing yard work and watching the games dips free.

I found myself staring off into space a few times outside and forgot what I was doing but I made it.  It must have been the lack of nic fog I have read about on here.

Looking forward to day 4 and adding more days to my quit.
You're doing great GRIM. Keep posting roll early and often. You're going to come across triggers you didn't even know were triggers. Bust through them. Your promise must be stronger than your addiction. I'm proud of you.
^^^^^X2, own your quit and remember these days. I quit with you today, ill do it tomorrow too. Keep making those promises.
