Hey! Glad you're quitting. I found that the way for me to make it is to post roll before I get out of bed.

My routine was to wake up, and before I got out of bed was to put a dip in my mouth.

Now, I wake up, grab my phone, post roll, and then get up. If you aren't using a phone to post roll on, then get up and head straight to the computer to post roll.

When the urge strikes to put a dip in my mouth, I control the desire by using the herbal snuff from Smokey Mountain. It's the habit I'm trying to break now.

I'm on day 5. Today has been the toughest for me because I don't have all the withdrawal symptoms that remind me why I'm quit. What has been the most helpful is that I posted roll and in that post I promised to stay quit.

That's my take on the subject. Hope you find it useful.
Greg

I'm a college student in my last year i started dipping 8 years ago. It's a Monday morning my previous habit was to jump in the shower with a dip every morning what is a good way to start your day off? I need to start my days differently anyone have any ideas?

Thanks.

Adam
I'm still a newbie myself but considering I don't see too many younger dudes posting a lot (I'm 23), I wanted to respond. I used to do the exact same thing. Coffee definitely helps, but if you didn't drink it before you're trading one addiction for another 'bang head'

One suggestion (I know it sounds crazy but bear with me) I heard early on here was to dip tea bags. This isn't something I'd suggest doing every single day but in the critical first week it helped me a lot.

Then switch to drinking the tea. A little less habit forming than coffee. In my experience I was so out of it in the morning that it was less about the dip and more about the oral fixation. Seeds, fake chew, red hots, whatever you gotta do. PM me if you ever want to chat, I know all to well how easy it is to want to pack a lip during finals week.

Make coffee. Pee. Drink coffee while posting roll at KTC. Take a dump after enough coffee and roll posting. Repeat every day.

Post roll, have some coffee and get to class.

Poisioning yourself is not a "great way" to start the day.

Sorry to hear that you lost your dad to nic but glad that you have found this site. It is really going to suck for the first few weeks but there are plenty of people to lean on here. If you need anything just pm will respond back. Stay strong and stay quit.

Great choice. Find your group, Post roll every day, stay quit just that day, and repeat. "yesterday + 1" is your new motto. Read all you can on this site...I lived on it for the first two weeks.

Glad to have you. Stay quit!!!
This site is awesome. I feel like running across this thing is potentially saving my life. Just lost my Dad (smoker of 50 years) to lung cancer. Instead of throwing the dip out, I cranked up the volume on it. So thankful to be a part of this!!! One day at a time!

Have been dipping for 10years and have tried to quit many times before. Started getting to the point where I excepted the fact that I would keep putting this poison in my face and that was all there was to it, no use even trying. Last night I was fortunate enough to stumble across this site, took the shit out of my lip, and woke up this morning on a mission of change, no matter what the cost or what hardships I may face. I am simply done, and look forward to a life without bieng slave to the can
