Great to find this site. Today is my first day out of the house in 15 days - I live in ND, which if you've seen the news, has been ravaged by flood waters. Well, 7 days into the flood, this 15-year chewer of Copenhagen Long Cut (about 1/2 can per day) ran out. I've had a couple opportunities to get more (and in the first few days I would have since I hadn't made a conscious decision to quit, the opportunity just kind of presented itself). I do, however, have 2 young children and a wife that I want to see for a long time, and have an office job with a recent promotion that doesn't lend itself well to a puffy lip all day long, especially when the VP stops by.
Anyway, still have a bit of a fog (was terrible first few days, then subsided, now is back again) but I figured if I've gone a week, I'm not going back.
I'm chewing sunflower seeds and Orbitz gum, but any other tips (if I can find the herbal chew stuff I will but I gotta catch a boat back to my island right after work). I'm hesitant to try the nicotine lozenges because now that I've been off it for 7 days cold turkey, that would kind of be liking starting up again or something.
