Soooo here I am, Day 32 Nic-Free! I am writing here mostly for myself... I saw someone else say they use their intro as sort of a journal that they can keep a running log of their quit... I liked that idea so I am doing the same. I've not been so active in my quit group mostly due to having to use a cell phone 90% of the time and it is a struggle just to get my roll posted without issue! I do check KTC several times per day just to see what's going on, but I do mostly keep a low profile. No reason, just who I am. As I've said before, this is my 3rd time quitting... although the last 2 were no obviously failures... I plan on making this one work! So much thanks to KTC and SamRS (dude, you gotta let me know your source for the jokes), Wyles and Brisingr for the texts and keeping up with me! I can't begin to tell how much it does help to get that text out of the blue! It brings things back to earth where they can be dealt with easier!
I was having a seriously bad day last week. My wife recently had a mini stroke... she is fine, thank God! But we had to go up to Duke for her to see a specialist there trying to find out what caused it. We were there all day, delay after delay... she couldn't eat due to her procedure and so I didn't eat either thinking we could get something on the way home. Long story short... I was in bad place. That nic bitch was working on me. I only had my fake shit that has been helping so far... but this day, it wasn't doing good. Then... ding! I got a text. Thank you SamRS!! That brought everything back to center for me and got my head back where it should have been. Getting those digits is the magic to having a successful quit!
Things are going pretty good at Day 32. I am going to have problems when I quit this fake shit... but for now, it's only rotting my teeth due to the sugar, and I can live with that for short term. I have been having some VIVID AS HELL DREAMS though! Crazy stuff too... not just run-of-the mill dreams!
If you're just getting here to KTC and are reading this... make sure you read all the info they have on this site! It is a lot of stuff... but all good info for you to take in! Plus, when you post roll for the first time... get those digits from the vets AND from your Quit Group and understand the promise you are making with that roll! It is taken very seriously as you will soon find out!
