quit
kwit/Submit
verb
1.
leave (a place), usually permanently.
"he was ordered to quit the cabin immediately"
synonyms:leave, vacate, exit, depart from, withdraw from;

2.
pause
a temporary stop or rest, especially in speech or action:
a short pause after each stroke of the oar

In my 25ish years of dipping, I don't think I really ever tried to quit or stop. The only times I didn't use was if I was sick and even then I tried. I'm unsure why I thought of this at this moment. One, I'm thankful I have quit. Not realizing what freedom is until I have looked back at the past 2 months. Everyone lets stay strong and quit on..................................

35 year addict here, I was the mayor of Pauseville.

I'm think my whole problem in the past was that I never had an actual plan to quit before. I do now - ODAAT, EDD.

I'm dealing with same type of sore throat issues. It seems to be getting better but very slowly. I quit Aug 13th so I'm nearing the 60 day mark. I've also done a whole lot of soul searching. This has been one heck of a wake up call. It's amazing how ignorant and arrogant we are when were dipping! I'm just looking forward to healing and moving forward.

I quit with you today!
Yes sir. My sore throat or weird throat feeling didn't hit me until last week into this week. I feel your pain/anxiety. The mind can play tricks on us. Mine went from that feeling to when it when away I felt as if I couldn't swallow there comes more anxiety. Let's do our best to hang in there bud...... All I know......
One dn things for sure ain't no kinda dip gonna help your throat! Doing great guy's, that sore throats gonna come and go. Quit on!
Agreed Pab. Keep on quitting on. Get your quit on. However you want to say it, just make it happen.

Hey Eye!

I'm glad to hear things are going well. I saw what you said about doing soul searching, and that really resonated with me. Nicotine has the unfortunate effect of encouraging its users to put their minds on autopilot and just sit there spitting their lives away. I'm glad for you that you're able to now focus on yourself and becoming the best version of you that you can be.

Keep us updated, and quit on!

Thank you Pab! I have read on here that we can't expect ourselves to heal over night. I need to figure out how to understand that. I will enjoy my quit. I appreciate the words of wisdom/ pick me up brother. Quit on brothers and sisters.

I have found that I myself have done a lot of soul searching per say during this quit. It isn't a bad thing I promise you. The nic kept me from that for so long.
Hey eye ,take a deep breath, look in the mirror, you're not the same man you were 2 months ago! Sore throats are extremely common on here my brother, I had one just last week. I personally think it's our body healing, the best it can. Quit worrying and enjoy your quit my brother! You're doing great and I'm damn proud of you!

Hope everyone is having a good day/night.

Experienced some swallowing issues today, right now they seem to be a little better. Weird, if I pushed on the side of my neck it didn't hurt to swallow. If I didn't put some sort of pressure on it, it did hurt. Done rambling.
