Thanks really appreciate all the knowledge. When I read some of the emails about 30+ years of chewing and then quitting it is really impressive and shows great determination. . Can I ask how you guys started your last and final quit? Was it cold turkey? Use alternatives like fake dip, candy, toothpicks, etc?
Just wondering. I have been cold turkey and have found myself chewing on a toothpick here and there. Thought about purchasing one of the alternatives, but don't want it to back fire and make me want a chew more. Any thoughts are appreciated.
Cold turkey is the only approved method here at KTC.

As far as alternatives go...whatever is nic free is in play. Gum, seeds, toothpicks, altoids, atomic fire balls, etc. I never tried fake dip as I figured it would just piss me off but, it's worked for tons of folks.
Use the olé bacoff my friend it's for the oral fixation, down to about 2 cans a week. Saved my ass more than a few times. Better to have something available, than not. Quit on my brother!
Tobacco is so addictive it took me a year after a massive heart attack, in which doctor confirmed caused from dipping to finally put a lid on the bitch! ODAAT EDD

Wise words by some wise quitters up there Krash. Lean on guys like this and you will be successful here. Shout if you need anything.

Oh and by the way, your last quit wasn't a quit. It was a short break. Now get to quitting.

My quit day was May 25, 2015 and everyday has gotten a little easier IMO. I have tried to quit a bunch of times over my ten years of dipping, but I am determined to make this time my time. Something feels different about this attempt and I feel more focused on saying goodbye to the tin!

I came across this website during my last quit which lasted about 45 days. I have been telling my wife for ten years that I would quit and after several failures, she eventually just ignored my talk of quitting. Well about a year ago the stakes were raised. I told my wife I would quit when we found out she was pregnant and I did quit dipping, but I convinced myself after about 45 days in that it would be to hard to quit this 10 year habit with an emotional pregnant wife and getting ready for our first child. After the last attempt I jumped back into dipping and told myself that I will quit once the baby has arrived and I had a beautiful baby girl in late January, but still not able to force the quit and used work stress as my excuse. On May 25th 13 days ago I quit dipping and I am going to make right on my promise to myself, my wife, and my daughter.

Really appreciate the website.
JK - you've come to the right venue to quit. As a school teacher and believer in the KTC method, lets get something straight from the get go...it is NOT a habit - it is an addiction...and you are an addict, just like the thousands of other addicts using this fine quit machine. You got to have the proper mindset that says, I'm done with this crap or you will be right back at square. You don't mention how long you have been using. but until you admit you need to quit and man up, nothing will change. Don't know how long you used and don't really care, but if you are willing to post roll every dam day, you, your wife and your new addition will be so glad you did. I quit with you today JK. FYI - I used for 34 years. You can quit this and we can help!
