Welcome Tyler, you've made a great decision. A decision that, as you pointed out, might save your life.
Regardless of what it was that brought you to this point, you will need to develop a wide variety of tools to be successful. Your addiction will come at you from a lot of different and unexpected ways. You're going to be in a life or death struggle with your own brain, as it tries to justify caving in, to provide the chemical reward that you are depriving it of.
The first thing is to post roll, the second is to introduce yourself to the folks in your quit group and start exchanging numbers. It sounds intimidating now, but trust me, it will add an additional level of accountability and is vital when things are tough.
You will find that the more you put into this site, the more you get out of it. By getting involved and opening up, your commitment will strengthen. It will suck at times, but trust me, you are just on the other side of freedom and it's like nothing you would believe.
Welcome again - I won't wish you luck because there's no luck involved. Reach out if I can help.
