Hey guys, Zach here. I've been a slave to the can since about 2008 and I'm sick of it. Sick of worrying about cancer, sick of mapping out my week by which days ill go to the gas station and re-stock. Sick of wasting so much money on something I thought helps me relax and deal with stress but only substitutes it will new stresses. I started with long-cut working construction during collage and moved to pouches to be more discreet, keeping them in for extended periods of time and not spitting. Next moved to Snus so I could keep swapping them in throughout the day every day. About 2 years ago I went back to pouches and still maintained essentially 90% of my waking life with one in.
My wife and I recently started trying to get pregnant and I beyond the financial irresponsibility on my part I dont want to be 'That dad who dips, gross!' Im looking forward to committing to this and finally cutting this crap from my life. Role call sounds like its an excellent idea and I'll be working out some shortcut on my phone to never miss a day. I've tried nicotine gum and mints but I know for a fact they only curb the need for awhile until I can get back to dipping so I suspect ill need some help from users with a strong oral fixation side of the addiction for regular candy or gum to try.
