Today in one hour, I will be at six days quit. Terrible jitters and aches today, the worst since quitting.
@Dagribble  here is the link to take your freedom back https://ktcforum.org/index.php?topic=16984.0. Wake up, piss, and post your promise to stay nicotine free for the day. Then keep your word. Repeat the process the following day. Simple but can be hard. Reason I suggest you build solid relationships with fellow quitters.

Be prepared to answer the 3 questions in your new and old group:
1. what happened?
2. why did it happen?
3. what are you going to do different this time to prevent a cave?

I tried (2) years ago to quit, fell of the wagon. Just turned 47 last week and going to do this!

Hey @Dagribble - I found your old intro and merged it with your new one. Each quitter only gets one.

Glad you found your way back. What are you going to do differently this time? It's a pity you aren't over 2 years quit right now...

Hey Dave,

I saw you post in the General Discussion.  How about we get you posting in an actual Quit Group with other quitters going through the same suck as you right now?

Click Here --->April 2019 Pre-HOF Group

Find the most recent roll post, Hit the Quote button in the top right of the post, add your name, day count and promise and hit Post.

See you in there brother.

Everything is gone except for the Smokey Mountain I bought.
Awesome!  Now just hold to it and go to bed and then wake up and post Day 2 tomorrow and hold your promise...because that is all we have, right?  Stand by your word and hold to it...come here and read up as you get a crave.  Call someone from here and share your number so you have a lifeline if you are staring at the wall of death at the gas station.  It is a ride...but the best one you will ever take!

The FREEDOM from this drug is awesome...dig in deep and as each day passes by, it will get easier and easier.  Glad you made this decision!
Good...good, let the quit flow through you!  -chewie

No time like the present to go and jump feet first into this quit.

Flush the rest of that can go post your promise not to use nicotine for next 24 hours.  You can find your group HERE.

Post your promise, keep your word and come back tomorrow and do it again.

You can do it brother.

Dave,

The longer you wait, the more your addict brain will come up with excuses to keep you from quitting.  I'm totally serious, flush whatever you have left down the toilet and go post your Day 1.  You will not regret it.  As soon as you do, my phone number will be waiting in your private messages.  We use phones to help keep each other accountable outside of the forum and they also help build our brotherhood.

Do it now.  Flush and post.

Welcome! No day like today to get rid of the habit. I just recently quit, Day 3, this place has been a huge help for me so far.
I am FF/EMT outside of my main job. I know the industry is heavy with users, hang in there brother.

One day at a time, together!

Welcome, fellow first responder. Team Blue, here. You're probably going to get some responses like this: "Sounds good, man. Quit NOW!" That's what I got when I first posted on KTC, and I'm glad I did. I'm 3 days quit and reading a lot on this site has me looking forward to a life free from the lip dirt.
