GK - You're in real danger of dropping off roll for good. You aren't even remotely owning your quit right now and an 81% posting percentage proves it. Gut check time. Be honest with yourself about this. Have you been doing anything and everything in your power to protect and reinforce your quit? From my vantage point, you're a lot closer now to where you were before you joined KTC.

Work - We have a thing around here called 'Bonk Hard Racing'. All kinds of crazy stuff, night canoeing, hikes, ride and navigate. Plus there is the warrior dash, I am assuming pretty similar?

Brettles - Fog is pretty good. Was in a job trailer yesterday and EVERYONE in there was chewing. In my head I am cursing like a bitch but did not cave or bum. Also watching what I am eating.

Heisenberg - My phone is xxx-xxx-xxxx. I work construction and I have projects galore right now so posting and reading is on the low side (posting before I jet to a project 1 hours south) Drop me an occational text to help you and I be accountable.

Jayhawk - Listening, posting as possible and using Roll like the gospel. You know, you should go fishing with me to keep me on track :).
GrampaKev, I edited out your phone number... better to share that in a pm instead of out in the open... Sometimes a troll does get through the ranks for a bit and wouldn't want them getting your digits.

Congrats on your quit!
Thank you! I logged on early so I wouldn't miss roll and on my way to a job site realized what I had done.

Kev, Our quit is just a few days apart. If you need any contacts or someone to vent to, I'm here for ya man. I'm also an avid mountain biker, so we'd probably get along pretty well. Keep fighting to stay quit!

Kev, these guys know what they are talking about. Their support and wisdom was a tremendous help to me in my quit, so listen up! I am hoping you are realizing that you have never quit before. You paused. You haven't ever made a daily commitment to quit, you kind of slugged along on some self discipline. But, in here you are going to fin out that this is like Groundhog Day - we quit one day at a time. The best I can say is that I committed this morning to be quit with you today. That's it.

Hope everything is going well. I'll see you back here tomorrow. In the mean time, listen to these guys. I have talked with many of them and met some. Trust what they tell you and quit like fuck!
The fog is just one long kick in the balls.

Thank you all, especially WastePanel, he helped me re-find my intro, so this morning I am reading all of your replies (again thank you). Quick update and tactical report.

1. I will post roll each morning. This is the most important thing to me. I am trying to find time to read and respond on the site (God knows how much your comments mean), but the bottom line is I post. It reminds me what is going on. For me, I just randomly think "Time for a dip", especially when I get to the office. NOW when I get to the office, I post.

2. I don't remember if I said it in my intro, but I quit successfullyish in October. Made it till the yearly Fishing trip, was drunk and bummed a pinch. Stayed off until about a month ago and started the daily bumming from an assortment of coworkers. Final straw was when I bought a can. This being said, I know I am weak, but I also know I should have the benefit of not being a full time user.

3. I started riding bikes this year again. I ride to keep quit, loose some belly and be outdoors with friends and family. (If you a KC person and interested, we have been blasting Indian, Mill and Tomahawk Creek Trails)

What I am writing above is for you if you are reading, but mostly for me just venting and declaring. I am keeping in my mind that, "There is nothing bad from quitting and nothing good from caving"

Much love and respect.

Kev
One day at a time, Kev, this quit will build all kinds of positives in your life. Proud to quit with you today!

Not much of a biker but another quitter has me a little inspired to do a mud run. Ever thought of that?
October you didn't have the knowledge you have at your fingertips now. Read, read, read! This is seriously bad stuff! there's a link to an article in my signature. Read other quitter's intro too- you'll see lots of yourself there. Keep it going, and keep checking in here with updates- helps others to get to know you and how you are doing. Quit on!

How's the fog today?
This info helped me early on, and still does today: https://whyquit.com/whyquit/linksaaddiction.html

A recommendation- if you haven't already, PM the guys who invited you to here in your into- there are some real good guys with strong as heck quitting help to give you there. And pick up some more connections with your quit class too- they are going through the same stuff as you at the same time. Get to know people-- read intros, more about you in yours, texts, calls, etc. You have great start and super support available- all you put into it now will pay off big later- and it really does help!
