Well....we adopted a baby. The precious baby boy was born 11/29 and we had to live in the state where he was born for 2 weeks for the state governments there and my own cleared him to return with us (It's called ICPC and is a pain in the rear but I realize in today's climate with the whackos out there, a certain level of security is necessary for children's safety). Unfortunately, less than 12 hours after we returned home, we had to rush him to a hospital for RSV with bronchiolitis that was affecting his ability to breathe. He was transferred to a children's hospital and has been in ICU for 3 days. I know that's not a terribly long time but for us in this situation after being away from home and family for 2 weeks it was an absolute nightmare. Doc thinks we'll be able to take him home this weekend so we'll see. Can't wait to bring him home...ESPECIALLY to a nicotine free zone. Will try to keep this intro updated.
Great on you and your wife for the adoption. Prayers to the little man. We often wonder why me, but IÂ’m a firm believer that all things happen for a reason. God bless my friend
Good on your for adopting. Both my sister and I are adopted. I don't think my non-birth parents had to go through what you did, but you certainly stuck it out to make it happen.
Congrats, and sorry about the RSV, I hear that limits interaction with other kids for a while. Bummer.
