Well....we adopted a baby. The precious baby boy was born 11/29 and we had to live in the state where he was born for 2 weeks for the state governments there and my own cleared him to return with us (It's called ICPC and is a pain in the rear but I realize in today's climate with the whackos out there, a certain level of security is necessary for children's safety). Unfortunately, less than 12 hours after we returned home, we had to rush him to a hospital for RSV with bronchiolitis that was affecting his ability to breathe. He was transferred to a children's hospital and has been in ICU for 3 days. I know that's not a terribly long time but for us in this situation after being away from home and family for 2 weeks it was an absolute nightmare. Doc thinks we'll be able to take him home this weekend so we'll see. Can't wait to bring him home...ESPECIALLY to a nicotine free zone. Will try to keep this intro updated.
Great on you and your wife for the adoption. Prayers to the little man. We often wonder why me, but IÂ’m a firm believer that all things happen for a reason. God bless my friend
Tobacco is so addictive it took me a year after a massive heart attack, in which doctor confirmed caused from dipping to finally put a lid on the bitch! ODAAT EDD

Quote from: David
Had my second nic dream last night. Weirdly enough, both have been cigarettes and I just never was much of a smoker. Here's how my most recent dream went. I was riding in my car with my brother and he was smoking (he used to smoke in real life but quit several years ago) and he just handed it to me mid conversation (who shares cigarettes in real life???) and I took one puff, handed it back to him and it hit me IN my dream. It was literally like I had forgotten that I was quit when I puffed and immediately realized it too late. And I swear I was running the scenarios in my head how to lie on the board and not own up to the cave. This was all happening IN my dream. Now THAT was weird.
I've had some very similar ones and it is truly creepy. Takes a few minutes after waking up to realize that you hadn't caved.

[/size][+] Code of Conduct
-- Battlin' Bastards' Code of Conduct --

1. If you are going on a trip outside of cell/internet service -- post ahead of time or text -- let SOMEONE know
2. Try to either post roll or send someone a text asking for a pickup....this should be easy if you have some numbers of other quitters (which you should)
3. If you go MIQ (3 consecutive days missing roll) without texting someone OR giving a heads up on the board, You are not to post above the line, you are not supported here and not tracked on SSOA until you do 2 things.
A.) Explain why you couldn't post or text for 3 days...and accept the bashing of your answer if it sucks. Cause there will be bashing
B.) Obtain MINIMUM 2 (or more preferably) NEW phone numbers for members you didn't previously have and have those members verify you've exchanged.
4. If you go MIQ for a second time, (with no advance notice and attempts at posting roll texting...etc.) you will be removed from SSOA and we'll cease monitoring. To return to having a spot in our table roll and on SSOA; you must follow same two steps above AND will have to post roll for 7 consecutive days (BELOW THE LINE) in support. If you go MIQ a 3rd time....no path back. Sorry
