Day 118.  Yep, I have neglected this forum for a while now but felt compelled to let my quit brothers know that I'm still going strong. It is a fact that I would not be quit without you guys.

I'm certainly glad to hear your quit....but seriously? You haven't posted roll with the group since like day 50? You missed out on celebrating our HOF victories together. Have you struggled on your own is that why you posted or are you another trying to reinvent the KTC wheel, trying to show you don't need to post up daily? I'm just not sure how to react to your post.........

I'm, uh, sorta stunned! I was sure you caved but am so relieved and proud for you!

I'll wish you a happy hall of fame also... I know your wife and kids must be proud. I hope you rejoin your group and post roll again - this quittin is a lot easier as a team than as a unit (yes frank - I called you a unit, ha). And please keep pumping Texas gold out of the ground - my furnace has been running a lot and I'm counting on you!

Quick update:  Day 34. Everything is going great. I feel like I've never been a dipper. No cravings or anything. Matter of fact, I just found a can of Copenhagen down in a pair of my boots. Didn't even think twice before I dumped it. And my wife was right. That stuff stinks. Holler if ya need me...

34 days is great man! Great job finding that crud and immediately dumping it. That is how it is done! Keep your head on a swivel. The days where we feel like we were never dippers are awesome. I have had a few. Just be sure to never forget you are an addict, you were a dipper  how much you hate that garbage. I am quit with you today, all day!

Day 12 update. Finally got some time off fromm work. On a little family vacation right now at Lake Travis in Texas. Had a few beers last night. Still no cravings. However, I did catch myself reminiscing about having a fat lip while drinking a few cold ones. But that's as far as that went. I'm still as stong as ever.

Also, my family finally figured out that I am quit!!  My 8 yr old son noticed it first. He reached up and pressed on my lip and said,"hey.  You quit dipping didnt ya?"  Lol. Yes son I did. Anyways, my wife and boys are very happy and proud and obviously very supportive. That is an awesome feeling!!

Side note. I didnt tell them I was quit because I had "stopped" several times before and let them down. This quit is about me. So I figured I didnt have to tell them and when they did notice, it would be a plus to be able to say,"yes. I've been quit x number of days. Proof right off the bat....

Later fellas. I got some more fishing to do. Holler if ya need me...

Day 5 is here. I feel great. I know this will piss you of worktowin, but so far my quit has been easy.  However, I'm not a complete idiot and do realize their will be certain situations that will trigger a crave. Such as working in the yard, fixing things, riding dirtbikes with my kids, manning the BBQ pit, having a few beers on a hot date with my sexy wife, etc...  I haven't been faced with any of those things since my quit because I've been at work out in the oilfield. But I have full confidence that my quit will be the same quit whether I'm at work or home. Post roll and QLF ODAAT EDD. Speaking of home, I'm scheduled for 7 days off beginning this coming Monday. Bout damn time. I think a mini vacation, without the distraction of an addiction, is in the works.

Hey worktowin, I really appreciate you brother. Your quit, among others, encourages my quit!  Thanks man.

Gonehutn,, your quit seems to be going well. Actually my first week or so was surprising for me. Felt really good to be taking my life back. I was excited,, had a great adventure i was beginning.

Then week two. That's all I'll say at this point because i got no more good things to say until much later in my quit. Maybe you are the exception.. Just prepare yourself. You need anything let us know.

Ps. I'm trying not to be an a hole like worktowin.
