Down the road from February to end of March now. My quit has taken some interesting turns. I’ve had some very vivid dip dreams in days 75 to 80, basically so real that I’ve woken up and checked my jeans pockets for cans to confirm I didn’t actually cave. I guess that’s what the funk is. Not sure what it is, just fucked up. Overall I consider my quit easy, aside from the first three weeks of absolute agony and hell. I think I chewed through three tons of seeds that first month. Bottom line and my learning to share with anyone reading this and contemplating a quit...there is no right time to quit. Just stop setting a target or end of a stressful situation and just decide to do it. Make that choice and repeat it every day for the rest of your life. You’re an addict. I’m an addict. We’re never cured we’re only quit today. Tomorrow is a new decision to quit, which I gladly make for myself and in support of my April brothers. Only you can quit for you. Glad to quit with you though, but that first step isn’t up to me...

Hey, just wanted to say 30 is a big deal and proud to quit with you edd.  Looking back, its really eye opening how much positive change we can do for ourselves in our lives if we really work at it.  Sounds like you are well on your way.  Love the enthusiasm and just general encouragement to new quitters and to April.  Glad to walk the same path as you, step by step, as we confront this addiction head on.  You're rocking your quit.  No doubt about it.

Tomorrow marks four weeks...four weeks of hell, triumph and freedom. Looking back at my quit, it was miserable. I can’t believe what nicotine did to my body and brain and what kind of tenacity it took to be rid of it. It’s an evil bitch and I don’t ever want to go through that again. My five year old son asked me tonight why i haven’t had dirt in my lip for awhile. I guess ninja dipping doesn’t escape a five year old. He just have me a huge boost of motivation to reach that 100 day mark and more. Can’t speak highly enough of the brothers having my back. You guys are the reason I’m here and still quit. BAQ’s of April!! We got this together, and for those guests just “looking” and wondering if this is legit or not, put down the can and try it. Grow a set and see for yourself what you are capable of with help from others going through the same shit. You might be surprised.

You're doing well brotha! And tomorrow you hit that golden 30 day mark, BOOM! Ironically my 6 year old daughter said the same thing a couple weeks ago. Because she would always want to see inside the can and i would have to tell her it's dirt (can't cuss around the lil one and tell her it's SHIT) but you get the idea. Anyways, keep kickin ass and glad to have finally met ya, especially bein a fellow buckeye!

Appreciate the kind words Bug Guy! From the mouths of babes...nothing escapes the eyes of children. I will say I didn’t quit for my son, I did do it for me, but it sure does help having a five year old motivate you from time to time.  He may be in a size 5T shoe, but some of his observations are a swift full-width size 12 up the ass. Proud of you, our April team and our quit. Couldn’t and wouldn’t want to do it without my April team...the A team! Go bucks!

There are two types of quitters on KTC. Those who post every damn day no matter what. They could survive a plane crash 50 miles from Nome Alaska and would kill a polar bear with a pocket knife, write their days quit on ice with its blood, snap a pic with their cell phone and text it to Drome. Then there are those who always have an excuse not to post or to post late. -bicycleptic

GREAT JOB ON TWO WEEKS! I love how you're paying it forward and cheering your team on.  I've found that nothing strengthens my resolve like helping a brother out.
The physical stuff is all behind you now; it's a mind game from here on out.  I had issues every twenty days or so for the first hundred, kinda like I was manstrating.  But I had a web of accountability, so much so that if I so much as blogged a nic itch I got texts and phone calls within the hour.  It was great. Woulnd't be here today with out it and the KTC method.  Keep working the quit brother, you're a legend in the making!

I appreciate the encouragement and support from you, chris2alaska, ES, Hilltop, dipperjoe, mayfly, addictarchitect and many, many more I’m missing here. For any guest in here shadowing the site and wondering if this place is the right way to start your quit, don’t hesitate. You will gain freedom from the can and learn how life can be without the influence of nicotine. Hell, you might even meet one, two or twenty other people here that know a thing or two about giving up the lip shit. If you’re going to wait until tomorrow to quit or some other future time your addict brain will make up, you will never get there. The only time is now. The May group needs leaders...do you have the balls to take back your freedom from the nic bitch?

I’m 13 days in and never thought I’d feel normal again since I quit. I have to say that the best part of my quit has been the connections I’ve made. The few texts my quit brothers and I share each day, reinforce my quit and the power of this forum. I was a private person, and didn’t want to share my digits. I didn’t want help or contact from anyone. I was stronger than that. What a load of crap...if you’re a guest here and lurking around or a new member and getting the lay of the land, swallow your damn pride and join up and share your digits with your quit brothers. You do NOT need to quit alone. Don’t be a loner!!!

Congrats on day 10!  Sounds like the fog is parting and you might have a little clarity from now on.  Trust me, this only gets better.  Own your quit and proud to quit with ya!

Day 9 and can’t believe the difference from the first three days. For the first time since quit day 1, I’m out of the fog, haven’t had a huge crave and the headaches are gone. It really is true what the vets have said, it does get better. You just need to want the quit bad enough to overcome a cave. This place is a godsend. Believe in yourself and embrace the suck. If you haven’t made the decision to quit, there isn’t a right time...I take that back, NOW is the right time, anything else is your addict brain making an excuse.
