I have to say 300 feels really good right now. I never could have imagined a community like this existed. Facing our fears and winning - even for a day - is the type of experience that makes us better humans - even when you admit to yourself that you need others help and the grace that comes with it. Fighting and winning against our addiction together just makes it better. I'm humbled to be quit with all of my friends/quit brothers at KTC.

CJ
Congrats on 300 CJ!!

Onward to 1 year!!
You two are among the best guys I ever quit with. Keep kicking ass.

Hey was it ever great to meet your bada** quitting self yesterday. Meeting other quitters in person takes the quit up a notch, and meeting one who has become a part
Of my closest daily support/accountability network is that much more
Impactful. Keep the great quit going, and stay involved bro! you are a real asset to this community!
This info helped me early on, and still does today: https://whyquit.com/whyquit/linksaaddiction.html

Quitters I’ve met so far: Ihatecope, >Pinched<, T-Cell, grizzlyhasclaws, Canvasback, BaseballPlayer, Cbird65, ERDVM, BradleyGuy, Ted, Zeno, AppleJack, Bronc, Knockout, MookieBlaylock, Rdad, 2mch2lv4, MN_Ben, Natro, Lippizaner, Amquash, ChristopherJ, GDubya, SRohde  -- always eager to meet more!

I've been dipping for many years and have tried to quit multiple times but never made it more than a couple months - usually just days. But I read the book called the Power of Habit. The author says that to break a habit/addiction you can't do it on your own. You need a community. Well I'm scared and I want to quit and I need some help. I am not good with computers, no Facebook etc. this is the first time I've posted on a board. Thanks in advance for anyone who takes time to reply. I'm not the type of person to ask for help but I don't want to fail again and tell myself stories. Yes I'm worried about cancer. And also worried and ashamed of what I might put my family through if it happens. I've got a favorite band that has a song that goes "I will change tomorrow, tomorrow I will change". That's what I've been telling myself for years. No more.
^^^ this is where you were 200 days ago. Freedom is a great thing. You jumped in with both feet and helped a lot of us along the way. Thanks for being a leader, Chris. Enjoy this huge milestone!
Bravo! Awesome work m'man!
You have followed AJ' s lead and turned your quit up to 11. IT'S one better than ten, yeah? Congrats Chris!

Some days I cant believe how grateful I feel for stumbling onto KTC and becoming part of the RANT (Dec 14). On Friday I visited our Louisville operation (about 2 hours from me). On the way out of the gate, I checked my gas for the drive and saw I needed to fill up. There is a gas station right before the highway and every time I have driven to our Louisville plant for the past 16 years, I have stopped at that place to buy dip. It felt so good to pull onto the road nicotine free, knowing I have the support from my KTC family. Thanks for the freedom! CJ
As you move further away from day 1 and freedom becomes your norm... You'll think back in utter disbelief at the slavery you allowed for so many years. Freedom... It keeps getting sweeter bro!
Keep rocking that quit and check your inbox for additional accountability.
This is great - to let the good times in, notice them, share them. It's a big part of healing. You are doing great, and it's such an honor to be there with you. All of us ROCK that are doing this quitting thing- thanks for being all in!
Chris, this site plus all the personalities and tools saved my life.
Looks like it's gonna save your life too. Just let it happen ODAAT.
The QUIT is strong with you CJ! Proud to be quit with you.
