Hi,
I have been a nicotine addict for over 20 years. (Long-cut Skoal). I found this site yesterday at work and decided to quit, so this is Day 2 for me. I look forward to reading the information and learning from others who have been successful in quitting.
-Ron
Today, I celebrate 1500 days of freedom from nicotine. My favorite form of this drug was delivered via chewing tobacco. This addiction affects people of all walks of life, Doctors, nurses, executives, lawyers, CPAs, police officers, firemen, military officers and enlisted, college students, blue collar workers. You name it! I have come across it all. If you need help and want to quit. Check out this site. https://www.killthecan.org

Well I have almost 2 years of quit under my belt now but for the last four weeks have been dealing with divorce. My quit is stronger than ever but I can't wait until I feel better about the whole divorce thing. We were married for 17 years and have a 14 year old son. I am 48 and worried about the future. Will I find someone someday that I really love again? Just some random thoughts.
Ron kinda like your quit brother one day at a time. Life's to short to worry it away. Remember that 14 year old son is right there at a very vulnerable age , he will need his Dad to continue to show him the right way. Stay strong my friend and remember we're all here, some advice may help so keep putting it out here!Quit on!
You are a great man who has shown a lot of leadership here. Life sometimes brings changes that are hard to deal with, and painful. Pab is correct in that your son needs to to be a role model - and you need him too. Try to focus on that relationship and your future will be bright. You've got a young man to mold into a leader just like his dad.

I'm always here if you wanna talk or just shoot the shit. I'll pm you my number. Keep your chin up my friend.
