Just another "its to hard" addict. Guess he didn't like the tips, they involved accountability, effort and balls.

Looks like a ton of support here. Not sure where else a fella could get this type of support. Folks offering knowledge and assistance on getting through a day free of poison. Seems like its all here for you.

The reality is if you truly don't want it, you can't have it. If you aren't willing to fight through all the physical and mental pain to be free, you will not get it. That's what it comes down to. How bad do you want it. Pointers? I'll give you a pointer. Go post fucking roll. Come on. I see two posts next to your name. Make the third a roll call. The power in that act is amazing. Its your contract. Its the fabric of your person. It says "I will fight for 24 hours to keep my word". You got to have balls and backbone bud. It takes a little bit of risk and a lot of belief that you are quit, that you are moving forward.

Tyler... step up to the damn plate... I know you are sitting here reading thinking you might quit tomorrow. Well guess what... tomorrow you will say the same thing. You will do the same thing I did for way too long. You know what my biggest regret was about quitting? It was for being a dumbass and putting it off for way too long. Throw the shit out now! You won't be sorry. We are all here for you and you will not find a better support group than KTC. Be a man Tyler!

The love you get here is conditional. The condition is that you are quit.

Hey guys, my name Is Tyler and i've been a dipper for about 6 years going through anywhere from a couple pinches a day to almost a whole can between work and my homelife. I've finally come to the realization that i need to quit, but just havent found the will to do it. I always told myself that i would but i never have yet, and now i've decided to get serious about quiting.

All im asking for is some pointers and tips on how to quit. i read the website, but it seems alot easier said then done.

Thanks,
Tyler
Hi Tyler,
I too am newly quit. Reading everything I can on the KTC and talking to some tough SOB's in chat have gotten me to day 16 but there is something else...
I've chosen not to poison my body today, promised myself and the guys in September, then stuck to it. Post roll every day, make the promise and have the balls to follow through. Don't be fooled by the excuses your mind will subject you to. Don't make excuses for weakness. We are addicts and will tell ourselves anything to get the next fix... unless you choose not to. The likelihood of you being successful diminishes exponentially when you're head isn't in the game. Quit today, everyday.
When the SUCK bounces ping pong balls of the inside of your cerebellum; exercise, shit loads of water, trident gum and seeds can help calm the inner beast. After a few days, your body will have flushed the poison out of your system and the mental chess match begins. The physical withdrawal will pass and the support of your quit group will pull you through the rest of the way. Exchange numbers with folks in your group and hold yourself and them accountable.
Embrace the suck Tyler, it could save your life.
Holy crap coping...that was freaken awesome. Nicely done.
Very nice indeed !!

Tyler,

You already know what you have to to, but it is really fucking hard...way too hard for someone half-assing around. I might be misreading your intial post, but you don't sound serious. You might want to just come back when you're serious.

This place isn't for "trying" or "taking a break." You won't be successful if you're looking for tips or tricks. But if you're serious...and I mean really fucking serious...click on the Welcome Center Link above and start reading. Read the HoF speeches. Click on the KilltheCan.org link and read the Kern Family Story.

If you're ready to commit to be free, then YOU CAN DO IT. If you're in, I'm right behind you. But if you're just kicking the tires...this site ain't for you. The decision is yours...
