Hey Everyone,
I'm a little lost on the site. I'm a 40 year old female who has dipped for the better part of 25 years. I have wanted to get rid of it for years, but have always just felt way to weak and out of control. I am seeking a female dipper or ex dipper for support. Could someone please lead me in the right direction. Thank you very much.

I just joined killthecan.org and went my first day without dip yesterday. This is my second day and it absolutely sucks. I couldn't get out of bed this morning and am so pissed because I have to work, i would be looking forward to it if i had a can in my pocket!!! But I don't and want to kick this 5 year habit, i am done with it. Here we go day 2!

P.S-- I now know what the "fog" is. My head hurts and feel so clouded. What is the best alternative?? And has anybody heard of "Blue Whale?"

Stay FAR away from "Blue Whale" - it contains nicotine.

There's a whole SLEW of good alternatives out there.

nope fake is not like tar- I chewed grizzly green -Hooch wintergreen was more than acceptable to me...I chewed it for 250 days. Other folks like Smokey Mountain, which can be had at WalMart.

Since we've hit that milestone, how many active members do we have?
Believe it or not it's actually difficult to answer that question...

Unfortunately I can't do any sort of queries around how often folks are "active" here on the site.

The best I can say is that in 2011 we've averaged 7,217 "unique" visitors to the forums per month. I can't make the jump and say there are 7,200 "active" users per month cause quite frankly I think that'd be high but that's why my analytics tell me.

The other problem is how we define "active". Is that the number of people that post roll every single day? Once a week? Once a month?

If someone put a gun to my head and asked for a number, I'd say the number of active users is somewhere between 5,000 and that 7,200 number. Best (educated) guess.

Even at that number, that still puts our "active" user group larger the the TOTAL user group of other sites out there!

That is outstanding and exactly what I was looking to see. That tells me and others who know, this site works.

Let's all understand the number of members is one thing but those who keep coming here day after day, posting role and staying quit it what it is all about!!!

:D
So, another dumb question from a computer neget.

If we have 10,000 registered members, why are member numbers over 12,000?

9,960 Members as of today.

We're getting so close to 10,000!

Thank you Chewie!
Thanks for the props my man, but I'm just one of many that makes this place run...

Onward to 10,000!!!
9,992...

'clap'
While this is a great achievement to reach, I have always questioned numbers that show how many people are members.

The real number would be how many of the 10K are really posting and interacting every day. ;)
10.006!!!! 'oh yeah'
Since we've hit that milestone, how many active members do we have?
In the end I Surrender, I and I alone accept that I have and always will have a Nicotene ADDICTION. It is my choice to quit, but I can't do it alone. I get to go down this path one time, I want to do it right. I recognize that my word, my integrety to you is on the line and is only as good as my actions. Caving is not an option in this plan-Eafman 7/11

I am not cured. I will quit one day at a time. I will continue to do what works. Posting roll everyday. To do otherwise would be foolish on my part. You can do this-Ready 12/11
