I tried the E-Cig craze for a little while but that ish really messed my lungs up, who even knows the long term affects its has on someone. Obviously dip and cigs have apparent long term affects
Quit Date- April 13th 2015/ HOF date July 21 2015

I mean let's not pretend everyone doesn't take their phone with them to shit, that's plenty of time to post roll

Hello,

My name is Jamison and i a on my 13th day from quitting smokeless tobacco. i'll tell you what it was the worst 13 days of my life but is slowly getting better. it all started when i contracted strep throat and it upset my stomach to chew so i quit. Being sick and quitting at the same time hurt. I had really bad body aches, chest pain, headaches, Dry mouth, tight throat, anxiety, and I got the fog very badly in fact I still feel it. I had shooting pains appear randomly in my body and still do. I'm curious to know what was strep throat and what was withdrawal. I'm going strong now without the use of any type of replacement. I cold Turkeyed on the 20th of April. The only thing that truly is bothering me now is the tightness in the throat and my anxiety. I had gone to the doctor and they prescribed me with antibiotics, an anti acid, and anxiety medication to be taken as needed. It seems I only have trouble when I'm bored as that is what my mind is running and I can't seem to stop. But I know with each new day it'll get a little bit better.

Hey guys,
I might be a young soul on this site at 21 years old but i have decided its time to kill the can. Ive been dipping for about 3 years now during college (nothing compared to some of you guys) and really ramped up this past summer when i roughnecked offshore (1-2 cans of cope wintergreen) where you had to dip to be one of the guys. I thought I was "cool" "a real man" etc but recently im thinking the exact opposite after one day fishing on the river. (Side note: i love fishing) It all happened when i was paddling down the river after catching a 4-5 lb bass with a big dip in, i thought I was the man until i looked on the bank to see a father and son fishing having a great time. I dont know what happened but my future flashed infront of my eyes, begging the question "is dip really worth losing days from my life that could be spent with my kids?" (Ps: i dont have kids yet). My answer to my self was "fuck no", and i chunked that dip as far as I could and dumped my can. This journey wont be fun but theres not really a choice here.

We can do this together
-Moon

Hey Everyone,

I have been reading these posts on and off now for the past 2 months. I just joined today because I know that talking about it will help me stay stopped. I have not packed a lip in a little over 2 months now after 8 years of using ever single day. The physical withdrawals have finally gone, but the mental symptoms are, and will be here for a long time. I crave it. I am finally enjoying the things I used to enjoy with a lip but there are sometimes (such as in my office doing work) where i get bored and usually would pack a lip. Looking for some other options in getting through those cravings. Thank you guys. All the best and stay strong.

Joe - First, 2 months solo is over the top awesome.

Next, this place still has tons of value to you. You should join a quit group. Bunch of dudes banded together in their own month. Depends on when your day 1 was which is the day you chucked the can. You could either be in our May 2015 group if you're quit date was 2/21 or prior, or June if your quit date was 2/22 or later.

The expectation is for you to post roll daily early, then keep your promise. Want to know more? Take a peek around at the intros, at some of the quit groups.
This place is great. I feel better knowing i have this as a "safeguard" instead of just doing it on my own.

I noticed you just hit a year. Congrats man thats great. Anything in
Particular that helped you the first few months?

Hello Everyone,

Im sitting here on this site and reading these discussions with only a few hours since my last dip. Ive been thinking about and contemplating quitting for a while now and been slowing down. But finally, today it all hit me, once my mother said something about my addiction. It was that word pierced threw me, "addiction", I didnt think that I was addicted until she said that, then i thought about it, and realized that I am controlled and a slave to Nicotine. I am beginning this journey to quit today. I am beginning now
Good for you. Bo ahead and post your day count in August 2015. All those quitting that will hit 100 days in August are banded together as quit brothers. In the meantime, water, water, more water. And get some jerky, seeds, gum, hard candy, toothpicks for the oral fixation. Whatever you do, stay quit. Nothing is more important. Is your life worth it?

Hey Everyone,
Today is day number 10, as my last dip was April 18,2015 at roughly 1:00pm. I thought to myself is this something I want to be doing for the rest of my life and if I want to tell my two year old son that this is ok. I've never really been pressured to quit to be honest; both of my parents have supported my addiction of 11 years (chewing since I was 16). My numerous girlfriends, friends and employers have never had an issue with it either. So when I say that I want to be tobacco free; I mean I want to remain tobacco free. I stopped cold turkey and its been rough. The headaches, vomiting, shakes, drowsiness and the odd sleep cycles have seemed to dissipate. Is any of this going to continue? I have always stayed up late, but I've been falling asleep around 10pm and waking up at 4am (which has never happened to my recollection). I'm just looking for some advise or tips people have to remain tobacco free. Also, I cant find a quit date posting for anything in 2015, to join a group. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

Thanks
