Hi Drome
I used to drink the blended stuff and Macallan single malt once in a while. I wanted to try something new last year for my HOF Celebration. P-Brain in my March 14 group turned me onto Lagavulin and that's what I have been drinking the past year. Its way different than the Macallan I had been drinking. Its way smellier and stronger but a lot more fun to drink once I got used to it. I don't know the scotch language so that's the best I can do.
Resident booze guy here... I love Lagavulin. It is crazy smoky, but soooo delicious. It is kind of an acquired taste, and I would certainly order it at a bar or restaurant before springing for a bottle. Oban is another great choice, much more drinkable and less smoky.

All of the Glens are good. Ardbeg is another very very fine choice from the people that bring the world Grand Marnier and Moet champagne.

Enjoy!
man you guys i tryed that lagavulin stuff this last week end and man when it came to the table evry buddy was like wtf is that smell. man it was like a strong antaseptick and man the after taste was with me all day sunday. i'm gonna pass on that stuff.

i mite try some a that jonny walker black on acount of i own there stock and the blue is way to aspensive stock or no. but for now i will just stick to the glen livit stuff.

I think the issue, especially pertaining to some of the larger metro areas in the mid Atlantic and the south, is partially the multi jurisdictional factor (ie: counties and locales with their various governmental structures) combined with the complexity of weighing spending priorities in certain public need areas versus the unpredictable and varying probabilities of weather patterns, while at the same time some how accommodating and appeasing a more and more fickle citizenry and constituency.
LMAO reading these 2 posts.
