Last night my Sister in Law texts me a screen shot, our college swim coach passed, he is in his late 50's. After the past few years of attenting way more funerals than anyone person should have to, I have grown a little bit numb to the whole thing. Still hurts, but mentally I am able to move through it, this one however is cutting deep.
There is a lot of things that I had managed to put aside, compartmentalize and forget. This is for sure going to make me face it.
My SiL and I saw together there. That's how I met my wife.
I did things I am ashamed of
There are people that I have cut out for reasons
This is forcing these thoughts and emotions to the surface.

22 years later and it still cuts like it was yesterday.
Sorry to hear of yet another loss and the pain it opened up. There are countless folks at KTC, myself included, that are always willing to lend an ear if you need.

Daughter had surgery. Sprained her ankle multiple times over the last year, she is at home and recovering. I have raised some tough kids. She openly admitted that she was scarred and advocated for herself.

I am glad that I am quit and here to witness it. They are not writing me letters like the Kerns.

#6 Ride in the Engine of the HOF Express. Its crazy to think about.

Things changed. We have way more travel days than celebration days. 10 quitters making the HOF for Oct 25.

55 Made the HOF in Oct 14
78 Made it to the close of the month

55 over 30 days is crazy to think about conducting that, vs have 10 over the 30 days. We just had 3 get on one day and that was a lot, where as in 14/15 really didn't think of that as a crazy day.  Time changes prospectives, i guess.

Feeling guilty about not being here. I missed so much and wasnt here to support those quitters that needed the support.
Mentally I know that there is nothing I can do, however that doesn't negate the guilt.

This is about the quitters that are still here, everyday posting and living life. Do not get me wrong the new quit needs the support, but those that are commas deep that have vested into KTC deserve the same support those that are just starting do. I think the guilt comes from me using the support and not paying it back.

Updated QFYQWYBQBIM 6/28/25
July 23rd will be 11 years. Always follow the basics: QFYQWYBQBIM
Quit For You: Be selfish and do whatever it takes to stay quit today.
Quit With Your Brothers: The size of your brotherhood is only limited by your desire to be held accountable. Seek it out.
Quit Because It Matters: This is and always will be life and death. If you think this will change, you are absolutely dead wrong. Never forget why you are here.

NHNNNIML //LBP ewe crooke//An elephant never forgets: If I wanted numbers i wouldn't text you. //Have a good one & make it matter

Just some random Saturday. For some reason (nothing to do with @ChickDip tagging me) I rolled up my sleeves and dove in the new HOF groups.

What is old is new again.
The drama
The anger
The passion

To see it so far removed, it still feels like yesterday, but with a new prospective.

Experience tells you what is about to happen before it does because you can recognize the signs.

As the dust up in August 25 continues I am reminded of the vets told me and continued to for many, many days.

I am glad I am there to continue to pass on the wisdom that was given to me through the interactions here.

I do miss the format of this site and not fan of the discord model with the bots doing roll call. There is something to be said for the way this format forced you to engage.

The next +1.

Everyday there is a urge to go a little further, a little deeper, a little more invested in yourself.

Once every 100 days there appears a number that is awesome and celebrated, but it is the day after, the day everything goes back to “normal” that is more important than those zeros.

It is the next +1. The - - 01. It’s just a little sexier than the day before.

You said this is not the end but another beginning. All beginnings come from some other beginnings end.
