Today we are leaving the land of Lincoln and headed north. We are headed to upstate New York to pick up a married man with 2 beautiful daughters and his name is GeorgeHayduke. George is a civil engineer who has engineered a good plan to stay quit by making it this far and by pledging to quit for 100 more days. George started dipping at the ripe old age of 13. He decided to call it quits because he was tired of lying about it and the future health ramifications. George is going to be bringing some old style beer to share as we ride across the country and if he gets out of hand, we should call his wife. He says that he will be enjoying a nice bottle of wine and hitting the ski slopes with the family to celebrate hitting the HOF. George drives a 2002 big green chevy suburban to work. This quitter is not all work and no play because he says that he enjoys the outdoors and loves to go hiking, biking and loves golf.

George says that hes not really afraid of anyone getting on his ass but if they do get on your ass, you probably deserve it. George says that to be successful in your quit you need to find some fellow quitters to connect with, get to know them and keep in touch with them because it really helps to have brothers to lean on in the dark times plus it adds to the accountability. George wants to give props to Kevans830, GizzlyHasClaws, TxTornado, Mogul and Griffdog for helping him make it this far.

Congrats man.. 100 days!!

Some mighty fine quitting going on here. ;)

Irritability will fade with time. You will be amazed at how much better you handle situations/life/stress. In time you will began uncovering all the lies you have believed. Its one thing for us to tell you, but its another to experience it. Stay the course my friend. Great things coming.

30 years of use. Your in for a treat. Its a whole new and better life. Quit with you today.
I agree. Realize that 14 days is still early brother. 30 years of damage can't be fixed in 14 days. Getting your body back functioning normal minus nicotine will take time. All good things take time  you are on the right path. I like how you are recognizing the irritability. That is a big! Work on it and try to power thru it. It will get better. Keep battling. Quit with you all day!

The poison sucks. I hate it. I hated it this morning, I hated it at noon, I hated it at supper and I hate it tonight. I enjoy hating it so much I'm going to wake up tomorrow and start over hating it. I quit with anyone that wants to hate it with me.

I'll second the shooting suggestion. Haven't bagged a deer yet, but I've been getting lots of extra shooting in to blow off steam. There's just something about the crack of the gun and the kick to the shoulder that feels great.

George, Yep, I'm irritable too. so fuck US, lol

We are in this together. I have been very irritable. Try getting Christmas together with families that are forged together by divorce, third marriages etc.. It sucks. At one point yesterday I was willing to cancel Christmas for everybody until my jaw felt like dealing with it. OK, that was just a thought but a good one.

You like to shoot guns??? I have the land, the wild boar, the deer, the turkey or just the wide open space. Come shoot some shit with me brother. That's an open invitation to any of my KTC family.

I need a release and my bride needs a break. I'm sure yours does too. Let's kick this crap together my friends.

Praying for Punkin..... any updates from him????

Still going strong fellow quitters, but have been so damn irritable last couple of days. Day 14 going and thought it would be behind me, but then I start to look at the bigger picture and see I am nowhere near killing the beast yet. I will, but it will be a prolonged battle.

I am 42 and have been dipping for 30 years. That's more the 3/4 of my life. Much of it during those teenage and young adult years that are so critical in your brain development. Before the last 2 weeks, hadn't gone more than a week without nicotine in last 30 years. Yes, maybe the nicotine from my last dip is well out of my system, but still need to reprogram the addiction wiring in my brain. Sorry to ramble, but just needed to reach out to the folks that really know what we are all going through.

Still fighting the battle to get through today and start over again tomorrow.
