Day 82 - What a stressful week its been with some interesting things thrown in. I went to a training class in Golden CO and met some new people there that I went to lunch with. Walking back from lunch on the first day, one of the guys pulled out some Copenhagen and threw in a dip. I noticed but didn't say anything until we got back to class and he had spit it out. I decided to do a little "Testifying" about the merits of KTC and spread the word! He said he was a 40 year dipper and had stopped for a few months until his wife bought him a can and told him she couldnt take his irritable shit anymore and please start dipping again! He wasn't interested in hearing the gospel.

What was interesting was that the other guy is stopped for 5 months now cold turkey without the benefit of KTC! I actually had some great conversations with him about how he did it and how his "quit" was going. I use parentheses because he's one of those rare people who periodically "quits" for several months and then goes back to dipping so he says "quit" but he is really just stopping for a little while. I'm confident that he will cave again but at least this time he knows about KTC and can look it up when he gets serious.

Basically it just reinforced to me that KTC posting roll and reading on here is how I do this QUIT for 82 days and for TODAY! Good learnings this week about my resolve and understanding that I have to do this for myself.

"Today has just been one crave after another! As soon as I get out of one for a few minutes the next one starts creeping in! They move on fast but keep coming. I am not liking this at all."

This was you on day 7.

I just re-read your most recent post about KTC preaching, then re-read your day-7 crave dealings. Quite a remarkable difference if you ask me. First one is a badass in the making and the second one is a badass quitter kickin' some quit knowledge around to some non-badass stoppers.

Thanks all! I've started a new job and I've only had time to post roll and haven't noticed the congrats on 70 until now.

I am so surprised about making it to 71 days now but I'm even more surprised at how easy it was with this site as my enabler!

That's not to suggest that it was easy because its the hardest thing I've done but I'm confident it would not have happened without KTC.

Quitting with KTC again today!

The poison sucks. I hate it. I hated it this morning, I hated it at noon, I hated it at supper and I hate it tonight. I enjoy hating it so much I'm going to wake up tomorrow and start over hating it. I quit with anyone that wants to hate it with me.

Day 65 - First of all, I have a hard time believing that by adding +1 every day I've gotten to 65!  This site is amazing in what it has helped me to do.  The people on here are strangers who give a shit about my quit and want me to be successful.

Over the years, I've stopped on the side of the road to help stranded motorists and motorcyclists several times, usually in out-of-the-way places where other help was not immediately obvious.  They are usually surprised that someone offered to help.  This site shows that there are a lot more people out there who are good samaritans and I'm fortunate to have found it.

Yesterday, had a debate with Derk40 and others on Steakbomb's intro page about how to welcome back cavers and Derk sent me a PM making sure we were okay!  I don't know Derk from Adam's housecat but he wanted to make sure he didn't offend me!  How neat is that?  That's what its all about and yes Derk I did see your point and I appreciate that you saw mine.

Our point (and Steakbomb's original point) was that we are all supporting each other and when one of us caves and comes back that person can expect to get a wide range of responses from an amazing amount of people who want to help them stay quit this time.

I'm quit today with Derk40, Steakbomb, rdad and Mogul!  Thanks Guys!

Hey AA first off, believe it man. Every +1 takes you a step further in your quit, and at 65 days free, that is awesome brother. And secondly the guys you mentioned are awesome guys, solid quitters and probably would make great friends outside of KTC. This site is awesome and so are you. Thanks for sharing!
Well said AA! Awesome things going on here at KTC. "I love yins guys" Congrats on 65!
Likewise brother. Yesterday's debate had 1 common theme. 1 common outcome. Regardless of how one approaches the caver...we want that caver to quit and stay quit. That's why I don't think there is a right or wrong answer there.

Apo, you said something that I'd like you to reconsider in your thought process, and I say this to you because someone changed my thoughts on this. Early in my quit I said to rdad something along the lines of, "I don't know you but..." Rdad responded to me with, "oh, but we do know each other"...linked by our addiction. I know your addiction and you know mine. I know about your quit and I know you are quit. You know the same about me. You know the same about everybody you mentioned in that post. So, like rdad told me I will say to you; we do know each other. I would argue that through KTC we know each other quite differently than many people in your life know you. Pretty F'in cool if you ask me.
Ammo, you are not messing around. You take this shit seriously and I love that about you! 'oh yeah' But.......................
your avatar STILL creeps me out! :P
Thanks for the note Apo! That was some good discussion yesterday. The key thing we all remembered was that we are all on the same team. We are the home team and we are at war with the NIC B. We talked thru the issue, everyone got out their thoughts out and now we remain focused on doing whatever we need to do to stay quit today.

I was out of pocket most of the day and unable to respond earlier, but I was really glad to read your post this morning. This is what the brotherhood at KTC is all about. Both you, steakbomb, rdad and mogul are top flight quitters and I'm very proud to be quitting with you all this fine day!

Quit on!
Steakbomb, that is a great point that you paid forward and I will remember it! You are correct, we do know things about each other that people outside KTC can't understand.

Quitting with all of you again today!

PS: My little buddy is staying for a little while longer!
^^^ Thats some good stuff right there^^^^^ We are all in this together and only we know that we do this unconditionally because we understand the bitch, the funk, the fog and the rage that sometime we do not have control over. The F'ing avatar is just creepy..FYI dont know if I will emulate that one...

Ammo, keep adding the plus ones. before you know it, your past HOF and some things change. But if you quit for you and no one else, your quit will be super strong. Our Feb quit group is holding together pretty tight, but it is easy to let go of KTC and go it alone. Its OK, you are equipped to beat the bitch, but it is much easier if you are involved. regardless, I quit with ya my friend. and YES your avatar is fucking creepy. Sorry but the truth hurts only if it should.
