After losing several nights of sleep over the events of the past several days here at KTC and after reading and listening to the posts here and in other contexts, I'd like to post this for your consideration:

I've come to the conclusion that the ONLY victor in this entire debauch is the nicBitch. It's a bit of an analogy but it is no understatement that the bitch has divided and is now attempting to conquer. While she has people "in house" at each other's throats there are many preHOF quitters slipping through the cracks back to their poison and their deaths. Just imagine if all of this energy could have been focused on helping them! That is not a "pipe dream;" it could have happened -- to cordially and simply discuss our differences while turning our big guns to the big problems.

When we've "won" - and no one really does - this here battle and placed our flag on the hill what will we really have accomplished? If we haven't saved a life, it means nothing! Nothing!

Let's face it, this is not our vocation; it is our avocation. Each of us has only a limited amount of time and resources to give to KTC. You can spend yours beating up Admins, Mods, authority, the system, those who disagree with you and the like. That's your decision. As for me, I'm going to turn that energy back to what, in my opinion, matters most. Helping those who want to quit to succeed and those who have quit to continue. KTC saved my life and I'm going to help her save the lives of others.

At the end of the day that is what really matters.

I know for myself I lost the sleep as well, but I discovered something that out of what seems to be that low point, I found if you go back to basics to look at what really matters, things start to get so much clearer.

[/color][/b]br /br /br /Intro: During the first several weeks of my quit I developed gas that could have kept the Hindenburg afloat for a week and was probably just as volatile. These "events" weren't subtle; a "good one" would go on for minutes (it seemed) and they were of the nature of rotting onions. One day, while shopping in the local CVS drug store, I left a fifteen second profusion of this wonderful stuff but I stealthily stepped to the other side of the isle and pretended to be looking at the birthday cards. But, boy, was it rank. A few moments later a young couple came walking up the mined isle. The woman was obviously the Alpha Partner in the relationship. Think of the next few sentences as happening in rapid succession while I'm standing unseen in the next isle laughing my ass off (pun intended):br /br /Gal: Ugh! Do you smell that? Someone just shit! Did you just shit?br /Guy: Huh?br /Gal: That's awful! It's nauseating!br /Guy: Huh? br /Gal: You're disgusting! I can't believe that you would do that in public!br /Guy: What?br /Gal: You know! It smells like something died inside you and just came out!br /Guy: It wasn't me!br /Gal: Let's get outta here before someone else smells this.
