Welcome. Great decision. You will get many different oprinions on NRT's (Nicotine Replacement Therapy) My 2 cents is cold turkey is the best way to go. Here is a link you may find interesting and iformative...

Finally decided to quit
« on: November 02, 2009, 01:51:00 PM »
Hi there, my name is Steve and I am actually now on day 2 of getting the Copenhagen out of my life! I have been a dipper for 27 years and I just know it is time to stop! Not only is it so very expensive, but I was really starting to get concerned about throat and mouth cancer.

I will be honest from the start. I am using the lozenges. The reason being is I have had some other health issues with my heart and if I just go cold turkey my heart goes into what they call atrial fib. I think it might be the stress. Either way, I am not making this as just a substitute to quit. I am following the directions and plan on stepping down like you are supposed to.

Now with that aside, I am here for the long haul and plan on being nicotine free in 100 days!
