Day 350 - the dentist

Yesterday morning found me flat on my back in the dreaded dentist's chair as he prepared to to fix a small cavity on both sides of my lower jaw. I've never been numbed on both sides at the same time before and I'm here to tell y'all, Old ES doesn't plan to have that done again anytime soon. After about 1 1/2 hours in the chair he finally sat me up and ask "how do you feel"? I looked that s.o.b. square in the eye, and with slobber running out both sides of my mouth responded, "the only thing that could of been WORST than the last 1 1/2 hours would of been if those two good looking dental assistants hovering over me would of been ugly." The old tooth chiseler was still laughing as I exited of office.

Frickin Nic Bitch - I knew being around all my fishing buddies last weekend was going to stir some triggers and cravings but the fat ass came at Old ES with a different card up her sleeve. Fishing season is the one time all year that I would break out my trusty pipe and use it as a defense mechanism against the bug population. Well I'm in the creek up to my waist casting a string of wet flies when she whispered, boy a nice smoke out here on the creek sure would hit the spot. Keep in mind I was a three decade chewer, not a pipe smoker. The little guy on my shoulder said, shut the fuck up Nicci, but she wouldn't let it go. For a good 5/10 minutes I stood there questioning my quit....and then I remembered this group and the commitment between us all. The craving passed and I returned to the business at hand and my peaceful surroundings. Had I not still been posting roll here EDD I'm not sure what the outcome may have been.....so fuck you nic bitch!

Had a pretty fantastic week. One of my wrestlers placed 8th in the Pa State werestling tournament last Saturday, then my daughter gave birth to my 1st granddaughter on Wednesday evening. We were over visting last evening along with my extended family and the new fathers extented family, when he offered everone a cigar. I said thanks, but no thanks, I've sworn off nicotine. Come on they said, who's gonna know, it's your 1st granddaughter. I said, I'm going to know and there is no way in hell I'm breaking my promise. This Sultan clan I'm linked to would nail my balls to a stump and push me over backwards if I smoked that dick stick. Screw you nic bitch...not today, not tomorrow. Proud to be quit with all of you.

Looking at the calander months back I realized that there was going to come a week that tested my commitment to my quit. The opening of BOTH the Pa buck season and the 1st official wrestling season tournament, both happening in the same week, were going to test my fortitude in this battle to beat my addiction. As you can see in my intro heading, I've declare war against the flat chested, buck tooth, two bit flozy and I'm happy to report the nic bitch has taken a fucking beating this week. Before you start harping on me about "don't get to sure of yourself ES...fuck you! I harvested a 6pt on Monday morning without any help from nicotine for the !st time in 30 some years and finished a wrestling dual meet tournament today with a 3-1 record without a second thought of the nic bitch. So there Nicci - - fuck you - - - you are losing this contest, fat ass.
And I'll quit with any Tom/Dick or James Gordon. QLF

Day 144
Spent all day yesterday at a pre-season wrestling event and knew the fat ass nic bitch was going to have her tongue in my ear. This was the first time in 34 years of coaching that there wasn't a can wart in my pocket. After coaching a few matches, I got that strong crave for a chew. I never used the fake stuff and wasn't about to start now. I stepped outside for some fresh air and reminded myself how far down the road of quit I've traveled, and the cravings subsided. I knew when I started this quit that the wrestling season was going to be my biggest challenge. With the tools I've learned over the last 4 months I'm ready to meet these triggers head-on and I'm sure there will be more "ifs" as I take each day one at a time.
If there's one thing Old ES knows...."if a frog had wings, he wouldn't thump his ass when he jumped."
