Took the kids shooting today. They had a blast, no pun intended. My youngest son shot a real rifle for the first time and my middle son shot a twelve gauge for the first time. It was a good day.
On the diet front I been eating more often but low carb/low cal stuff like carrots and salad. Still getting protein but not at every time I eat.
Today was an off day for lifting.
R3 don't worry about weighing yourself everyday if your working out and changed your diet, you will gain weight for a while. Muscle weighs more than fat. Measure by notches in your belt for a while. Also don't deprive yourself of all the foods you enjoy because you will end up binge eating and that's the worse thing you can do. Smaller portions and 1 plate. Good luck brother it's tough but anyone that can quit dipping can beat anything in my book!
I am required to weight in daily for a weight lose program I'm in at the VA Clinic. I would rather not but it's to monitor the effectiveness of the new med I'm on. It's designed to treat diabetes and to cause weight lose. Its new to the VA so I'm heavily monitored.
I eat stuff I like, just cut out sodas, and sweets, depending more on healthier food. I drink a smoothie made with 3cups kale 3 cups spinach and.5 cups of red, yellow, and dark fruit with 2 cups of almond milk.
Example: supper tonight was a 5 oz. pork chop, .5 cup of buttered noodles and 2 cups of lettuce salad.
A little bit after that I ate 2 cheese sandwiches with low carb bread. So I'm eating. Just starting to get back to the gym. I do appreciate the thought thanks!

Last night's fried food binge at the restaurant cost me today. I figured I ate 2lbs of fried fish and shrimp. I took my middle son to the gym with me today. He's starting to learn how to bench.

Started lifting today! Felt great to be under the bar again! Worked my way up from the bar (45lbs) up to 135lbs for 5 reps and 5 sets then a last set to failure (9 reps). Great feeling strength isn't what it used to be but just like my quit ODAAT.

Spent most my day in my truck driving to Des Moines. Four hour trip one-way for a two hour meeting. It was for the DAV so I'm good with it. Just eight hours on the road and glad I had grinds.
Start lifting tomorrow bench only.training with a group of power lifters here in town.
That is so great R3! Very happy for you.
Thanks chick!
Pff to a great start R3!

Shared this in Dec 16 group but I want to put it here too.
Sorry I haven't been very active. I been dealing with health issues and trying to un fubar years worth of self neglect. My cholesterol is 270, I'm diabetic, a1c is 8.2 and blood sugar is 302 oh and I weigh 328lbs almost 100 lbs overweight. It didn't happen overnight and I know it won't reverse over night but I'm busting my ass by quitting soda, watching carbs, eating cleaner and staying quit. That along with some meds I'm on will get me to were I want/need to be.
It doesn't happen overnight, but you have proven you can get there one day at a time. Stay strong bro!
You can do it R3D2, I know you can.
Shoot me a text any time is you need to chat.

Remember how impossibly far away 100 days was early in your quit? But you got there through a lot of bite size +1s. You have accomplished an amazing thing: breaking an addiction to one of the toughest drugs devised by man and nature to kick. Most people fail. That's reality. And that means you are capable of tackling any challenge placed in your way!

Digits are just a pm away if you ever need them.
If you can be a badass quitter that you are, you can do anything you put your mind to
