Day 83

I slated another dragon today.  It has been 10 years since I have been to the dentist.  I was nervous, but all went well.  I was happy to check "No" for "Do you use tobacco?"  Tissue looked good  they were congratulating me on my quit........hell, I didn't even have any cavities.

They asked me how I quit  I told them "One day at a time with some friends online that I have never met in person".  That was met with blank stares.  I told them about KTC  they asked a few questions.  Hopefully they will pass the word........

Enjoyed it so much, that I'm going back for a whitening treatment in a couple weeks!

I quit EDD with each one of you!
Funny how that question being able to respond NO when they ask if you use nicotine strikes such a cord. Nice job manning up and getting in there for a checkup. No big deal... Right!

83 dAys of quit... Enjoy your victory today. You are quit and you are free.
Congrats! it is such a relief isn't it? I just did my first trip in about 10 years too. I stopped for 2 months or so 10 years ago before I went.

So nice not to have to lie or feel embarrassed by the tobacco use question!

Keep earning that freedom, you're doing great!
Congrats. Way to spread the KTC word!

I've noticed the same thing. We don't notice how many people use nicotine when we're using it as well. Once we've quit, it stands out when anyone is using some form of it. 17 Days in and I've noticed the same thing.

You've got this!!

Day 76

Days 70 - 74 were pretty rough. Had a serious case of the F-its!  I continued posting roll  support for a few others. Other than that, I just wasn't motivated to post/read like I normally do.

Turning a corner now  my mood is much better the last couple days.

Spent a day with the family at the zoo over spring break.......dip free!  It's amazing how many people use nicotine. I guess I really didn't pay attention when I was using nic.
Etxag,
Sweet quit going. I quit with you every dang day!

Extaggie, keep up the good work my friend, odaat bro. You are winning!!

Day 56

Wow, quitting nic is about so much more than just nicotine. I'm learning things about myself......some things I like, other things I need to work on.

For the last 15+ years, I would hide behind my addiction. If I was stressed/mad/disappointed/scared, I would put a dip in and "get over" it. All I really did was avoid the feeling....I didn't really work through it. That's sad!

I think part of my "ups  downs" lately are two-fold -

Ups
1) when I think about my quit  the strength I've shown to myself...
2) when I think about my family  the stuff they have put up with ( they still love me)...
3) freedom from nicotine....
4) allowing myself to feel again....don't know if that's the right way to say it, but whatever!

Downs
1) money, time,  effort wasted on this addiction....
2) mad at myself for getting myself into this addiction....
3) mad at myself for not quitting sooner......

I was always taught that I couldn't change the past. Here's to moving forward  forgiving myself for the past......

I quit with you today!
Look at it this way when addressing your 'Downs'
1. money, time and effort saved by being quit
2. Proud of myself for recognizing and treating this addiction
3. Proud of myself for truly being quit this time
Quit since 1/23/14
