OK - I picked my day and it's tomorrow. I chew about a tin a week. I know - not as much as some. My biggest problem trying to quit is i keep it well hidden. My wife and kids have no idea. My biggest trigger is always longer car rides by myself. It's been very difficult to avoid chewing in those situations.
Here is a better idea. Pick now. Quit now. What is one more day of chewing going to do for you? Maybe the dip you throw in tonight while taking a dump is the one that will cause cancer. Is it worth one more day for?

Can someone help me with some advice.  I recently quit smoking and gave up caffeine.  Had to doctors orders.  I was given the dx of cancer on my vocal cords, doc said it was because of reflux.  Now the smell of my husband's dip makes me sick to my stomach.  I told him when I quit smoking I didn't expect him to quit with me.  I started vaping and it helped me quit, no ill effects with quitting, reflux is going away.  He's quit dipping before with the help of the patch and an herbal dip but 1 we don't remember the name of the dip, 2 the navy gave him samples and he's no longer in the navy.  My sense of smell is stronger now I've quit smoking and the smell of his dip makes me ill.  He says he'll quit dipping again only if I can find a dip that is 1 like his old herbal dip or 2 like Copenhagen.  Can someone please help me.
Good morning! There are several alternatives out there. Not sure which one he's used in the past but here's a pretty extensive list (with some coupons  reviews as well!)

Ole Chewie hooked you up. Lots of choices. Do you have a Wal-Mart near you? Many of them carry Smoky Mountain fake dip. My local WM just started carrying it recently. Never used it personally, but glad to see it there.

So you're "vaping". Nicotine, or no?

I know it's none of my business, but it seems to me that a little bit of consideration for his spouse's cancer diagnosis would encourage him to keep it away from you.
Be strong, but know that you are not quit. There are no adverse effects because you are not in withdrawal.

In fact, you may be interfering with your treatment.

You can do this. You don't need the drug.
In the end I Surrender, I and I alone accept that I have and always will have a Nicotene ADDICTION. It is my choice to quit, but I can't do it alone. I am not cured. I will quit one day at a time. I will continue to do what works. Posting roll everyday. To do otherwise would be foolish on my part. You can do this-Ready 12/11

hey guys i just passed 2 year mark of dipping (I am in no way proud of that). I've tried to quit plenty of times ,but i fall back into it. I am military and currentley not in the states. I'm always bored here and dippin seems like the only thing to do. We have a class where you can get the pills, gum, patch etc. I dont wanna go that route what so ever. I have tried gum, seeds, mints. That will work for a day or so then i just stroll to the b and grab a can. I nee help please anyone who has been in this situation help !!! Also when i would go a day without it I really on edge and very easly irritated.
From a 40+ year addict please quit for your freedom. Here you are in the US Military working and fighting for freedom from oppression. But you are submitting yourself to slavery giving up your own freedom to a chemical that can kill you. You are definitely not alone, we can look around and see how many people voluntarily give up their freedom. I challenge you to look around this site and see how hard so many people here work to retrieve their freedom from the grasps of nicotine. Join us today and everyday!
