Well I'm happy that I got my dentist apt scheduled. But yesterday after seeing the dr for a follow up he has ordered me a biopsy to be done on my top lip. I will be going to a specialist on wed of next week. Can't lie it is a little worrisome but I've made my choices in the past all I can do is keep bettering myself for the future. Sure hope everything comes up ok.
Let us know how it goes. Here's hoping that it's nothing more than just some extra quit motivation.
Will keep yall posted. Definitely a lot of worrying kicking in at the moment. Right when I was starting to think everything's going great this happens. But I'm going to keep my head in the game and have good thoughts.
I love hunting, fishing, my 5.9 cummins... and oh yea my wife way too much to let some dirt in a can end my life early. lets QUIT

I've been quit from snuff for 27 days now. Been feeling a lot better jaw hurts occasionally and face tingle on side I always held at times but goes away. But when does my whole mouth go back to normal color? Both my cheeks are still white as hell. My lesions are healing well but the white hasn't subsided at all. Does anyone know when it will fade? Thanks
Salty,
It may take a while for your mouth to heal. Warm salt water swishing helps, water down hydrogen peroxide and Listerine.
I would have give your mouth a couple month plus to heal, I would schedule a dentist appt for the end of September, cleaning and check-up, good peace of mind.
That first dentist appointment is scary. To be honest, I haven't done mine yet either.

Want to commit with me to a date to get an appointment scheduled by?
Hell yea bud whats your schedule looking like whens a good date for you?
All scheduled up. September 9th is the date.

As an aside, this is why staying involved in this site is so important. I drifted in here to try to help others and the next thing I know, I'm the one getting helped. Pretty awesome!
Alrighty all scheduled for next Tuesday. kinda worried haven't been to the dentist in years!
I haven't either. Thanks for getting me motivated to change that. It's been on my "should do" list for awhile, but excuses.

I've been quit for close to two years now after chewing off and on for over 25. Here's a rundown of what quitting has done for me.

- Sore jaw - gone
- Loose teeth - teeth are tight and have had good dental checkups
- frequent ringing in the ears - gone
- sore tingling tongue - gone
- rough patches in gums - gone
- frequent heartburn - gone

this is just a sample of what quitting can do for you. Stay close to KTC and Stay quite brother.

I have been using sunflower seeds at night and sugarless gum to and from work in the car. Also have some sugarless hard candies. The most satisfying was jakes mint chew I had last night. I read somewhere on here to put cayenne red pepper in there and it made the dip enjoyable. I am day 3. Keep it up.

Listen up!

This is a Forum to help people QUIT NICOTINE! The major tool we use here, is to give our WORD when we Post ROLL!

If you are a lying piece of shit and are USING while POSTING, you will be shown the door. It's that simple!

If you are not man enough to give your WORD every day, and KEEP IT, there are alternative sites out there for you, where lying, and 'trying' are more accepted. Please go there and wast their time.
What is your major malfunction?!?!?!?!

Hey everyone, I just quit dipping about 4 days ago and so far so good. What does everybody do to fight the nicotine cravings and what can I expect when quitting?
Good questions. This should help with the expectation part http://www.killthecan.org/your-quit/wha ... t-dipping/ . As for the cravings, I used fake for a few weeks, then gum and seeds. I still use the later sporadically. Also, if they are bad enough some say to put your balls in a drawer and slam it until the craving is gone. Never tried it but I bet it works
Congrats on four days nicotine free! That makes your quit group November 2015. Head on over that way and get yourself up on roll.

I can vouch for the gum myself. Although you gotta watch some of the sugar free gums. Some of the sweeteners can have a pretty good laxative effect. Another thing that helps fight the crave is reading and participating here. Lots of great stories around here. Some funny, some inspirational.
